Our 1 Day Nyungwe Canopy Walking Tour in Nyungwe National Park is a short tour package that leads you to the main tourist destination in East Africa for a gorgeous canopy walk. While enjoying the canopy walk, you will be rewarded with great views of the forest as you watch the monkeys on different tree branches, bird species, and tree species among others.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Depending on your location in Kigali city, you will be picked up by our driver guide at your hotel in Kigali and drive southwards to Nyungwe Forest National Park home to a diversity of primates, birds, and remarkable attractions. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda, and the king’s palace in Nyanza with lunch en- route. After lunch, embark on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to watch the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife among others. Thereafter, you will drive out of the park and depart back to Kigali. On arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at any place of your choice or at Kigali International Airport.
