Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali International Airport or your Hotel in Kigali and transfer to Bwindi National Park
You will be picked up early from Kigali to start up your journey to Uganda through the Rwanda –Uganda border ‘’Cyanika or Katuna’’ depending on the sector of Bwindi you will trek. The drive from Kigali Rwanda to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is estimated 4 to 5 hours drive.
Arrive at your accommodation in Bwindi have lunch and check in at your booked lodge. You will relax at the lodge or opt to do a community tour by visiting the Batwa people or do a walking safari to explore the surroundings and local culture. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Four Gorilla Lodge – Mid-range or Buhoma Community Rest Camp –Budget

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and transfer to Kigali
After morning breakfast at 7 am, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing on the gorilla trekking experience. After briefing, you will be led by the park ranger into the forest trailhead to search for the assigned gorilla family. The trek can last between 2 to 7 hours, depending on the gorilla group’s location. On finding them, you will spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch.
Then after, start the journey back to Kigali, arriving in the evening around ‘’6:00 to 7:00 pm’’.
