Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Depending on your location, you will be picked up by our company safari driver – guide who will then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park lies in the western part of the country which is a 6 to 7-hour drive Via Masaka road, you will have a stopover at the equator where you will be able to take unforgettable photographs and visit the craft shop, proceeding with lunch en route. On arrival at the park in the Kasese district, you will continue and check in your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Pumba cottages –Mid-range, Elephant Plains – Luxury

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.

Wake up early, have breakfast, and embark on an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi region. While on the game drive, you will be able to watch all the big four games including antelopes, giraffes, warthogs white Colobus monkeys many others. You will then drive to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise along the remarkable Kazinga channel where you expect to watch numerous bird species, elephants and buffalos, hippos, and crocodiles on the lake shores. Return and relax as above

Day 3: Chimpanzee/primate tracking and return to Kampala

After breakfast early in the morning, you will depart for Chimpanzee tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park with your tracking gears. During the tracking, you will slope down a gorge with sights of magical lush mature tropical forest, thriving below sea level and inhabiting counts of chimpanzees. Hiking the gorge’s steep slopes in search of the chimps is challenging but eventually encountering them gives a lifetime memory as you will locate them rolling on tree branches, making pant-hooting calls, and also get to watch the black and white Colobus monkeys and the olive baboons. The walk generally takes around 2‐5 hours.

After tracking, go meet your drive guide and drive you out of the park and then embark on your journey back to Kampala with en route lunch in Mbarara. The driver will drop you off at a location being advised.
