The 4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Golden Monkey Uganda safari takes you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park Uganda is one of Uganda’s home for endangered mountain gorillas, golden monkey species, and birds as well as the three volcanoes like Sabyinyo, Muhavura, and Gahinga among others. There are Batwa people who can be visited during your safari. The park lies in south-western direction of Uganda on the border with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala
On day 1 of the 4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Golden Monkey Uganda safari, after morning breakfast at 7:30, our safari driver–guide will pick you up from your hotel to Kampala city of seven hills, the driver will first brief you about the 4 days Gorilla trekking and Golden monkey trekking Uganda safari. You will set off the journey to the southwestern region of Uganda estimating 8 to 9 driving hours with a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for memorable photography, to visit the craft shops around. Then continue the journey to Mbarara town for lunch en route.
After lunch, drive passing through tea plantations, and rolling hills. Arrive at the park late evening,check into the lodge. Relax, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking-Mgahinga National Park
On the 2nd day of 4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Golden Monkey Uganda safari, you will wake up early in the morning and have breakfast, with your packed lunch boxes. You will be driven to the park headquarters for the briefing about the dos and don’ts of Uganda Gorillas trekking. You will meet up by your driver guide to lead you through forest trailheads in order to allocate the gorilla family. As you’re trekking there is a high chance of seeing other species in the forest, a trek that lasts from 30 to 7 hours depending on the gorillas. Once they are located you are given one hours to observe them while learning their life style, and behaviors as well as taking photos for memorable encounter. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking
On the 3rd day of 4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Golden Monkey Uganda safari, after an early morning breakfast with a packed lunch, you will be transferred at the meeting point for the briefing about golden monkey tracking rules. After briefing, you will be led by the park ranger to hike up in search of the golden monkeys which are only found in Virunga volcanoes of Mgahinga gorilla national park and you will be joined by the porters to help those in need. You will start searching for them and once they are found,one hour is given to the trekkers to watch them as they swing on tree branches, feeding. After driving back to the starting point. Then you will connect to Batwa trails where you will meet up with the Batwa people who used to survive in the forest with mountain gorillas in harmony during those ancient years, interact with them, enjoy their traditional dances, and visit their traditional home stands. Back to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Return to Kampala City/Entebbe Airport
On our last day, have your relaxed breakfast, check out of the park and drive back to Kampala. On your way you will have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch en route, you can opt to visit the Igongo culture center to encounter the Ankole culture. After proceed our journey back to Kampala where –you will be dropped to your hotel or any place of advice.
