Day 1: Arrival and Travel to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda
Start your safari with pick up from your hotel in Kigali by our safari driver guide. You will embark on a Kigali city tour where you will be able to visit several sites like Kimironko Market, Kigali genocide memorial Centre, and craft centers where you will buy gifts and many others. Enjoy lunch at an excellent restaurant. After lunch, set off to the Volcanoes National Park.
Upon arrival in Musanze, continue a drive to your booked lodge and check in, after which head out to the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. You will be able to witness panoramic views of the Virunga mountains, hills, fishermen fishing, and notable birdlife. After, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Dian Fossey Hike and Departure to Kigali
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading to Dian Fossey Hike with your packed lunch boxes. You will be driven to the park headquarters for a short briefing about the hike.
You will hike to Karisoke research center, which sits between mountain Karisimbi and Bisoke/Visoke. You will pass through different vegetation zones where you will have a chance to explore the park’s animals, such as elephants, forest hogs, duikers, monkeys, and various bird species.
On arriving at the Karisoke research center, expect to visit the grave of Dian Fossey with a history behind it.
After the visit to Dian’s grave, enjoya picnic lunch. You will descend to the starting point, where you will find your driver guide to depart back to Kigali Airport for your flight departure, or at any convenient place.
