Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 of 5 Days Rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari: Pick up From Kigali to and transfer to Volcanoes national park.
Following your 5 days Rwanda gorilla safari, you will be picked from your agreed location hotel or airport presumably. If times allows, you can opt for a Kigali city tour visiting the icon features not forgetting the genocide memorials, the craft village and more. Later proceed to Volcanoes national park, upon your arrival you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 of 5 Days Rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari: gorilla trekking and ibyiwacu cultural visit.
Early in the morning , your guide will drop you are the park headquarters, wait for other travelers who intend to do gorilla trekking as you have a cup of the Rwanda coffee. Later you will be briefed on the Rwanda gorilla trekking procedures. Later be a signed a ranger and a gorilla family to track from. Head to jungles in search for the gorillas, the tracking time is also dependent on the gorillas family you have been a signed to track from, as some families are always on the move there by rendering it strenuous to trek. Later after the trek you will head back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Later in the afternoon you will head to the iby’iwacu cultural village where you will be taught on several of the rich and divers culture of the Rwandese people. Some of which include the way of life, cultural dances, preparation of food and many more. Late head to you accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 of 5 Days Rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari: Transfer from Volcanoes National park to Akagera national park
In the morning, have breakfast and drive to the Akagera national park situated in the eastern province of Rwanda. The drive takes between 4- 5 hours with stop overs one being in Kagali. Proceed to Akgera and and have enroute game drive as you are heading to your lodge.
You will have dinner and an overnight stay in the lodge.
Day 4 of 5 Days Rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari: Morning game drive and boat cruise on lake Ihema .
In the morning you will have breakfast, and later proceed to the for a morning game drive searching for the wildlife in the wild, you will on the lookout for the big 5 the lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards , rhinos and many more such as zebras, water buck, hyenas, warthogs, giraffes and several other bird species. The drive lasts approximately 4 hours which will later see you with a relaxation at the your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Day 5 of 5 Days Rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari: Morning Transfer to Kigali
In the morning, you will have a brief game drive to maximize your wildlife count and possible see what you missed the previous day of the game drive. Later after the game drive, you will drive back to Kigali, arrive in time for your flight home or be dropped at any place of your choice
