Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Top of the falls visit

After breakfast at your hotel or upon arrival at Entebbe Airport. You will be picked by our safari driver guide brief you about the safari. Thereafter, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park Uganda’s largest savannah national park and home to the most beautiful powerful falls in Africa ‘’Murchison Falls’’. The journey takes 5 to 6 hours’ drive with a stopover in Masindi for en=route lunch. After lunch, proceed to access Kichwabanyobo gate. Enter and continue to drive through Budongo forest and connect to the top of the falls. Upon arrival, you will enjoy to explore the iconic water falls via a narrow gorge creating a white form and strong sound. After, you will connect to your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight.

 Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Nile 

Wake up and have breakfast, then connect to the delta area for your early morning game drive for chances of watching the early risers and other animals. This will take 2-3 hours depending on the availability of the animals. After, return for lunch at your lodge then connect for your afternoon boat cruise on the Nile. This is yet another exciting activity to the park. There are both land and water animals to view while on the boat cruise and it ends with view of the falls at the bottom. Encounter animals such as the hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and also different bird species. This boat trip takes about 2-3 hours. Return to relax at your lodge as above

Day 3:  Nile delta boat cruise and evening game drive

After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to embark for an interesting Nile delta boat cruise which begins from Parra jetty landing site and stretches to the shores of Lake Albert. During the Nile delta boat cruise you will be able to enjoy the impressive views of Murchison falls, large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in water, other animals like Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks among others along the shores, water birds, view fishermen who will be catching fish on Lake Albert in dugout canoes many others.

After the Nile delta boat cruise you will meet up with your driver guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch where after you will head for an evening game drive with the expectation of viewing lots of animals. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park 

After early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari guide to transfer to Kibale National Park. Arrive in Fort Portal late afternoon, and have your lunch before you continue to your booked accommodation where you will refresh, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

 Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking – Bigodi nature walk

After your breakfast, connect to the park headquarters with your trekking gear and water. Meet with other trekkers and gather for a briefing from the park officials where you will be guided on the expectations of Chimpanzee trekking. Thereafter, you will head out in the jungle of chimps to search for them. The trekking experience can be accompanied by the skilled guided and it can last about 2 to 5 hours depending on their movements.

Once you find them, you will be allowed to spend an hour with them watching how they behave, feed, survive in the forest, groom themselves among others. After, hike back to meet your drive guide to drive you the lodge for lunch. After lunch, relax a bit as you ready for walking tour around Bigodi wetland – a best place to primates and bird viewing. Some of primates to see besides chimps include colobus monkeys, Red vervet monkey among others. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Top of the world and Fort Portal city tour

After breakfast, meet your safari guide to go visit the tea plantations and communities around. After, drive back to the lodge for lunch and relax abit. Thereafter, check out and transfer to Fort Portal town and on arrival visit Amabere Ganyamwiri caves and water falls and enjoy the walking through the caves filled with breast-like rocks with dripping milk like liquid. The falls at the caves are refreshing. Then connect to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Fort Motel.

Day 7: Departure to Kampala

On the last day of the safari, you will have a delicious breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala. On the way, you will have en-route lunch and then continue to Kampala. Arrive early evening and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off to your hotel or at Entebbe Airport.
