Day 1: Pickup from Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On day 1 of the 5 Days Rwanda Safari, you will be met by our guide who will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali. Then transfer to Kigali city for a short city tour where you will visit the genocide memorial site and Kimironko market. Later, after the city tour transfer to Ruhengeri town with lunch en route. Arrive at your lodge in time to check in and have dinner and overnight stay at Da Vinci Lodge (Midrange)/Amikus Hotel (Budget)

Day 2: Gorilla Trek and Iby’iwacu Village Tour.
On day 2 of the 5 Days Rwanda Safari, wake up have morning breakfast and a briefing from the RDB officials, set off for the gorilla trekking. The gorilla trekking experience is once a memorable lifetime. After briefing, rangers will lead you deep into the forest looking of the Gorillas.
You will move up and down the rugged terrain till you finally meet these unique creatures whose company you will cherish for an hour. This activity in Rwanda can take 3-5 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. After gorilla trekking, head for a cultural tour to Iby’iwacu village where you will experience the traditional resident local guide. Visit the King’s palace and learn more about the Rwandan culture through dance and singing performances from the local intore dance troupe. Return for dinner and overnight stay at Da Vinci Lodge (Midrange)/ Amikus Hotel (Budget)

Day 3: Hike Mount Bisoke and Transfer to Lake Kivu
Start your day with breakfast at your lodge before driving to the briefing point. After you have been briefed, you will set off on your hike on Mount Bisoke, estimating 4-6 hours depending on your pace. On getting to the summit of the mountain, you will be impressive with spectacular views of the largest caldera lake as well as surrounding mountains in the Virunga Massif. Once you descend back to the starting point, you will meet up with your driver guide and head for lunch before continuing to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi where you will spend the night at your own choice lodge/hotel. Day 4: Drive to Nyungwe National Park and Canopy Walk
You will wake up have breakfast, and embark on about a 4-5 hours drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park with a stopover for lunch en route to the park. Upon your arrival in the park, you will go for a 2-hour hike to and from the canopy walkway bridge- a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be excited of an amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, exploring wildlife roaming around. This hike takes between 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Before nightfall, you will drive back to the lodge Nyungwe Top Hill View Hotel (Midrange)/ Gisakura Visitor’s Centre (Budget) for dinner as above
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trek and Transfer Back to Kigali
Wake up early enjoy breakfast at the lodge, then drive back to the briefing point. Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe forest starts at 5 am and can take between 4-6 hours or even more depending on their movements. You will be given only 1 hour to spend with the chimps once they have been found. Upon your arrival in Kigali, your driver/guide will drop you off at a hotel of your choice or Kigali International Airport for your flight departure. If a city tour was not possible on your first day, then you can choose to do a short city tour in Kigali. End of Safari!
