Murchison falls national park a renowned largest and oldest national park in Uganda located in the north western region, visiting Murchison falls national park you will encounter the magnificent Murchison falls which forms a permanent rainbow, many wildlife such as giraffe, Uganda knobs, the big five and many bird species.
Kibale national park located in western Uganda is a famous home for the largest population of primates mounting to 13 types with 1450 habituated chimpanzees, for the amazing and best tracking experience Kibale national park is your best destination as it is a home to chimpanzees, the rare l’hoests monkey, big population of endangered red colobus monkey, black and white colobus, red tailed monkey, blue monkey, olive baboon, grey checked mangabey, bush baby.
Bwindi impenetrable national park is located in the south western Uganda, this park is famous for being to the largest population of mountain gorillas in the world and offering an extraordinary mountain gorilla trekking experience through it 15 habituated gorilla families. Apart from mountain gorillas, the park is also home to forest elephants, warthogs, bush bucks and many bird species which are encountered while trekking for mountain gorillas.
This safari beings and ends in Kampala or Entebbe where you will be dropped off.

Detailed itinerary for the safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison falls
On the 1st day of your 8 Days Uganda gorilla, chimp and wildlife safari, you will be picked up by your safari drive a representative from achieve global safaris depending on your location, your safari drive will give a little insight about the day’s activities and then embark on a a4-5 hours’ drive of 282 kilometers. While on your way you will visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary for white rhino tracking, then have lunch at the sanctuary’s restaurant and head for Murchison falls national park. You are expected to reach the park in the evening through Kichumbanyobo gate in Masindi town, check into your lodges, freshen up have dinner and sleep.

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise in Murchison falls national park
On the second day you will have early morning breakfast and head to the park’s delta for the morning game drive, in the game drive you will see a number of wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs, lions and many more. From the game drive you will have lunch and at exactly 2 pm you will go for a launch cruise at the bottom of the Murchison falls along river Nile where you get to enjoy beautiful sights of crocodiles along the sandbanks and many animals which come to the river to drink water.
After the boat cruise you will hike up to the top of the falls which is optional where you will meet your driver and drive off to your lodges, rest, freshen up, have dinner and sleep.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
On this day you will wake up early for breakfast, after breakfast you will start your journey of 335.3 kilometers a 6 -7 hours’ drive via Kyenjojo – Hoima Road to kibale national park. On your way you will make a stopover in fort portal for lunch. You are expected to arrival in the park in late evening and upon your arrival you will have a bath, have dinner and sleep.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland Visit
On the fourth day of your 8 Days Uganda gorilla, chimp and wildlife safari, you will wake up very early for early morning breakfast then you will head to the park’s headquarters for briefing and meeting your guide, then you will proceed into the deep forests in search for the chimps an activity which takes 2-5 hours. After locating the chimps you will spend only one hour with the chimpanzees as you take pictures, after tracking you will have lunch then take a walk in bigodi swamp where will encounter animals such as semi-aquatic Sitatunga Antelopes, bush pigs, otters, mongoose. After the walk you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park a journey of 3 hours from fort portal and you can make a stopover at the equator and take pictures.

Day 5: Lion tracking/game drive and Boat cruise
You will wake up early for early morning breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing, after briefing you go for a morning game drive which you will cooperate with lion tracking. The game drive in Kisenyi area takes 2 to 3 hours and you will see animals like giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and many more. You will then go for lion tracking experience where you will see lions, after the game and lion tracking you will have lunch and in the afternoon at 2 pm you will go for a boat cruise on kazinga channel. On a boat cruise you will see many animals such as herds of elephants, buffaloes as they come to the channel to drink water. Boat cruise offers you a great chance to see water birds like crested crane. After the cruise you will rest, have dinner, and sleep overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
On the 6th day of your 8 Days Uganda gorilla, chimp and wildlife safari, after morning breakfast, you will check out of your lodges and embark on your way to Bwindi impenetrable national park a journey of 259.4 kilometers for 6-7 hours’ drive via Fort Portal-Mbarara Road. On your way you will make a stopover in Mbarara for lunch, you will get to the park in the evening, check into your lodges, have dinner and sleep while your preparing for the next days’ activity.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking experience.
You will wake early for early morning breakfast then together with your packed lunch and mineral water you will go to the park’s headquarters for breathing which begins exactly at 8, so you are expected to be there by 7:30. After briefing and in groups of 8 people each you will begin hiking to your assigned group in search for mountain gorillas, the hiking takes 2_3 hours and when you see the animals you are only allowed to spend one hour with as you take pictures. After the Bwindi forest gorilla trekking you drive back to your lodges, rest, have dinner and sleep.
Day 8: Return to Kampala/Departure
You will wake up a little late than the usual, have breakfast then proofed to Kampala, on your way you will make a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and another stop over at the equator for pictures and buying crafts. Reaching Kampala or in Entebbe at your drop off point will mark the end of the safari.
