Volcanoes National Park Rwanda is home to the endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkey species as well as birds. It is located in the Virunga mountains shared with Uganda and Congo.
Nyungwe Forest National Park is known as home to the endangered chimpanzees and 12 other primate species. Tracking chimpanzees in Nyungwe forest and canopy walking above the forest along the bridge which measures 160-meter-long and 70-meter-high suspension bridge thus

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Hotel
On your arrival in Kigali, you will be meant by your safari guide and be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. The driving journey takes 2 to 3 hours from Kigali. Upon your arrival in Musanze, you will check into your hotel and then do an optional community tour around Ruhengeri for a Rwanda cultural experience or choose to spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight

Day 2: Golden Monkey tracking
On the 2nd day of 5 Days Rwanda Golden Monkey and Chimpanzee Tracking Safari, after enjoying your early morning breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for the briefing by the park ranger guides at 7 am. After briefing, head into the tracking trail to search for golden monkeys. Thereafter, when you find them – you will enjoy these playful primates along the tree branches, feeding and how they survive throughout the day. During the tracking experience, expect to see other primates, birds, and beautiful butterflies among others. The trek can take about 2 to 5 hours, depending on the location of the Golden Monkeys. After, drive back to your lodge have lunch, and relax the entire evening. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
On the 3rd day of 5 Days Rwanda Golden Monkey and Chimpanzee Tracking Safari, after breakfast followed by the checkout of the lodge and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. The journey takes about 6 to 7 hours’ drive to access the park with en-route lunch and great views of the Virunga Mountains and Lake Kivu as well as stopovers for the pictures. Proceed to the Nyungwe and link to your accommodation to rest. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Do Chimpanzee trekking and Visiting Umuyove trail for bird watching experience
On the 4th day of 5 Days Rwanda Golden Monkey and Chimpanzee Tracking Safari, you will wake up early have a heavy breakfast, and then drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park for a briefing about your experience. You will be led by the park ranger through one of the tracking trails for chimpanzees and bird watching – Unuyove trail.
Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking is an interesting experience where you are allowed one hour to spend with them in their natural habitat.
The chances of seeing chimpanzees and other primates like Grey 0cheeked Mangabeys are usually high and interesting. These trails also lead you to the waterfall where you can relax before you hike back to meet your safari guide to drive you back to the lodge for late lunch and rest. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure /Airport
After the morning aroma tea /coffee is served with delicious snacks at the lodge. You shall embark on your journey back to Kigali with an en-route lunch. You will either be dropped off at your own booked hotel or at Kigali International Airport for your return flight with memories.
