Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park – Ihema Boat Cruise
Transfer to Akagera: You will be met by our safari driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali to transfer to Akagera National Park. Arrive early in the park and embark for morning game drives where you will have the chance to watch a range of game animals mostly the herbivores like the elephants grazing within the plains, the rhinos and getting rewarded to unique attractions. After drive back to the lodge for lunch and relax.
After Boat Cruise: Later no, embark for the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see a game of water species like crocodiles, hippopotamuses and various bird species such as the endangered shoe bill stork, African king fisher’s catching their prey from the Lake that live around the lake and the swamp. Return back for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Half Game Drive and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Game Drive: After breakfast, drive for a game drive with great anticipation of seeing the different animals which rise early to graze and prefect time to watch predator on hunt before returning to their hide. After game drive, drive back by your driver guide to the lodge and check out. Drive out of Akagera to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at the park and participate in the Ibyiwacu cultural tour which will give you emotional and great excitement about the Rwanda cultures norms experience, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trek in Volcanoes National Park
Gorilla Trekking: After your taster breakfast with served packed lunches and then set out to the park headquarters at 7am for briefing before you trek. The briefing is all about do’s and don’ts on gorilla trekking. After briefing, meet your ranger –guide to escort you in the forest trail in search of the gorillas.
The Rwanda Gorilla trekking experience takes about 2 to 7 according to the location of the gorillas. Once you meet these rare giant gentle, you will be allowed 1 hour with them as you observe their behaviors and habits. You will study the lifestyle of the mountain gorillas in their groups along their daily routines.
You will then, trek back to starting point and be driven back to your reserved lodge for late
Lunch and evening stay at leisure.
You can opt to do community visit or cultural tour, if you still have the zeal to walk. Drive back to the lodge before the sun sets. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Dian Fossey Museum visit and transfer back to Kigali
Dian Fossey &Depart: After breakfast, check out of the lodge and take a drive of your 2-hour drive to Kigali with en –route Dian Fossey museum visit. A visit at the museum allows you to learn about the famous gorilla lady with artifacts that belonged to her along with an impression of the Virunga ranges.
After, a memorable walk through the museum –connect back to Kigali for lunch and if you have extra time, you may visit the Kimironko market to buy some souvenirs for the people left home.
You will be dropped off at any advised location in Kigali.
