The 7 Days Rwanda Gorilla &Wildlife Safari takes you to the most popular Rwanda safari location that are Volcanoes National Park for Gorilla Trekking or Golden Monkey tracking. This tour also takes you to visit Nyungwe Forest National Park for Chimpanzee tracking and a canopy walk. Besides doing chimpanzee tracking, Nyungwe forest harbors with a large canopy, over 310 bird species including; Eastern mountain greenbul, African paradise flycatcher, Long-crested eagle, Chin spot batis among others.
Nyungwe is also home to other primates like Crowned monkey, Red- tailed monkey, Dent’s Mona Monkey, Grey – cheeked mangabeys, Velvet monkey, Olive baboon many more. During your visit to the park, you will have a chance for a canopy walk on top of the forest and also a chance of watching birds and primates.
This tour also allows you to adventure into a wildlife and Big five expeditions in Akagera National Park. Full Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Akagera National Park – Evening Game Drive
Travel Akagera: Wake up from your hotel in Kigali, have breakfast and our safari driver guide will pick you up from your hotel with a shot brief about the trip. After, you will have a city tour to visit some of the amazing historical places in Kigali, including the Genocide Memorial, Local Markets and then head set off the journey to Akagera National Park. On arrival, have lunch and then go for evening game drive in Akagera.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Evening boat tour – Lake Ihema
Morning Game drive: After your morning breakfast, drive to the park for the morning game drive where you expect to explore wide range of antelopes like impalas, Masai giraffes, zebra, gazelles, oribis, topi, bush baby as well as the big fives like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos among other. After, witnessing the untouched wilderness of Akagera. Return to the Lodge, have lunch.
Afternoon Boat cruise; Later no, head for launch cruise on Lake Ihema to view what you would have missed in morning session such as Hippos, Crocodiles and lots of water bird species including, Kingfishers, Papyrus genolek, Caruthers’s cist cola and the rare African fish eagles, cormorants many more. After, drive back to your lodge. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive and then Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Morning game drive: After morning breakfast, take another morning game drive in Akagera, before setting off to Nyungwe Forest National Park. After proceed to Nyungwe Forest with en- route lunch. Arrive at the park late afternoon. You can decide to check into the lodge or go for a Tea plantation walk. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day4: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest
Chimpanzee tracking: Wake up have your aroma tea /coffee with delicious snacks served at the lodge. After, your driver guide will drive you to the park headquarter in Kinigi to have a short briefing. Then. you will have meet up with the park rangers to led you in search of chimpanzees.
Upon finding the chimps, you will spend one hour with the chimps, observing them as they play, feed, groom themselves as well as enjoying photo shooting and capturing videos.

Day 5: Canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest and then transfer –Lake Kivu
Canopy walk: After delicious breakfast, we head to Winka visitor center for safari walk above Nyungwe forest.
You will go for canopy, that lies 50 meters above the forests and over 200 meter walk way that offers you a fresh air and perfect sightings of the forest, different primate species are seen during walking experience, like the black and white colobus and mountain monkey.
After the walk, enjoy the amazing drive through the forest and tea plantations on the edge of the forest, stop for lunch and head to Lake Kivu for a restful evening. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 6: Spend the day at Lake Kivu and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Lake Kivu: After morning breakfast, drive to Lake for a boat ride and then later drive to Volcanoes National Park a home you will trek Mountain Gorillas or Golden monkeys in Rwanda.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking or Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes and then depart back to Kigali
Gorilla trekking: On your last day of 7 days Rwanda Safari tour, you will have early morning breakfast with packed snacks. Then, your driver guide will drive you to the park head center for the briefing about gorilla trekking rules. After, go meet up with the park rangers to allocate you to assigned gorilla family on that particular day. As your search them, you will have a chance to watch other primates like golden monkeys, black and white, red tailed monkeys as well be various notable bird species.
Upon finding them, one hour will be given to you to spend to observe their behaviors as well as taking future memorable photography.
After gorilla trekking, you will trek back to the gorilla center in park and drive back to Kigali to be dropped to your hotel in Kigali or dropped to Kigali International Airport.
