Day 1: Arrival and Chimpanzee Trek
Start the journey early in the morning, travelling by boat from Kigoma to Gombe National Park, with time for a scenic ride along the shores of Lake Tanganyika.
In the afternoon, arrive and register at park headquarters, and start your first chimpanzee tracking experience with a park guide. You will also have a chance for short hikes, a visit to Kakombe waterfalls.
By evening, enjoy dinner and stay overnight at your accommodation in or near Gombe.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trek /Departure
Start your early morning chimpanzee tracking session to increase your chances of sighting. If time allows, expect to encounter other wildlife, such as various monkey species and other primate species.
In the afternoon, depending on the boat schedule, you will start your return journey to Kigoma. Optionally, you can take a final short walk along the lake. Later in the evening, arrive in Kigoma to be dropped at your hotel or at any convenient place.
