A 4 days gorilla and wildlife safari takes you on a tour to two Uganda’s fascinating destinations that is Bwindi impenetrable national park and queen Elizabeth national park. Bwindi impenetrable national park located in south western Uganda is a famous park for the endangered mountain gorillas and of the two parks where you can do mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda. Queen Elizabeth National Park located in western Uganda a famous home for many wildlife mostly the climbing lions, other animals in queen include elephants, leopards, buffaloes, Uganda kobs and many more.

Detailed itinerary for the whole safari
Day 1: transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the 1st day of your 4 Days gorilla and wildlife safari, you will be picked from either Entebbe or Kampala by your assigned game driver and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park, your tour guide will give a brief summary of the day’s activity then embark on an 8-9 hours’ drive of 472.9 kilometers. On your way you will make a stopover in kayabwe at the equator where you will take memorable pictures and also buy crafts and souvenirs, another stopover will be made in Mbarara for lunch. As you’re approaching the park you will encounter the fascinating view of the Kigezi rolling hills covered with green vegetation cover, upon reaching the park you will check into your lodges, have dinner and sleep.
Accommodation. Each mountain gorilla sector you are to trek uses different accommodation and in this case a tourist is to trek in Buhoma sector.

Day 2: mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi
2nd day of your 4 Days gorilla and wildlife safari, on this second day of the safari, you will wake up so early in the morning, take your breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters. At the park’s headquarters you will be briefed about the rules to follow while trekking, you will be grouped into eight people and assigned the gorilla family you are going to trek as indicated by your gorilla trekking permit. Together with the packed lunch you will start trekking into the forest to see the fascinating mountain gorillas, the essence of taking packed lunch with you is that it is hard to predict the time you will be back from the trekking as it might take 3-6 hours depending on which have you have trekked. When you locate the gorilla you will take many pictures as possible during the one hour period of time you are allowed to stay with the gorillas. When you return from the trekking you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
On your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park of 161.6 km you will see tree climbing lion in Ishasha southern sector of the park if you are very lucky. When you reach the park’s headquarters you will check into your lodges have dinner and sleep.

Day 3: early morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On the third day of your 4 Days gorilla and wildlife safari, you will wake up early for breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive in the short vegetation of Queen Elizabeth national park, on the game drive you will get a great view of animals like Uganda kob, impalas, leopards, elephants and many more. After the game drive you will have lunch and in the afternoon you will go on a 2-3 hours boat cruise on Kazinga channel, on the boat cruise at exactly 2 you will see large herds of buffaloes, elephants and many other animals which come to the channel to drink water. You will also see many water birds like crested crane. After a long wonderful day of game drive and boat cruise you will go back to your lodges, take a bath, have dinner and sleep.
Day 4: lion tracking and transfer back to Kampala
On this last day of the trip you will wake up in the morning for breakfast, you will go to the park’s headquarters for briefing then proceed to lion tracking experience which takes 2-3 hours. In this experience the amazing lions are easy to find as they have tracking devices around their necks. After the experience you will transfer back to Kampala. On your way you will make a stopover in Mbarara for lunch, you will have your drop off either in Kampala or Entebbe marking the end of the safari.
