This primate safari tour package leads you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, home to the critically endangered mountain gorilla and golden monkey species as well as various notable bird species. This trip starts and ends in Kampala or Entebbe.

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Mgahinga NP (8-9 hrs)
Depending on your point of location in Kampala, our expert driver-guide will pick you up and brief you about the safari. Thereafter, depart to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in the Southwestern Uganda region with a stop at the quarter in Kayabwe for a fun and memorable photo shoot and visit craft shops around.
Proceed to drive with another stop for an en-route lunch in Mbarara. After, continue to drive to the park. Arriving in the evening, check into the lodge, relax, dinner and overnight stay at Lake Mulehe Safari lodge -Midrange, Travel Rest Camp (budget).

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
Enjoy your yummy breakfast at the lodge before embarking for a gorilla trekking briefing at the park headquarters. After the briefing, you will be accompanied by the ranger to lead you through the forest trails to look out for these gentle giants.
On finding them, you will be allowed an hour to spend with them, learning about their habits and survival and behavior, as well as enjoying taking a photo shoot. After a thrilling experience with gorillas, hike back to meet your driver guide to return you back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking -Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Wake up and have breakfast before leaving for the golden monkey encounter. You will have a short briefing at the park headquarters on the dos and don’ts. After the briefing, you will walk in the forest in the company of the ranger in search of these active primates.
Once you find them, you will be given an hour to watch them as they feed, swift in their movements, unlike the gorillas. After an encounter, hike back to the starting point to meet up with your driver guide to drive you back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Or opt to do a culture visit to the Batwa community. Dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 4: Return back to Entebbe
Wake up to a relaxed breakfast before heading back to Kampala with a picnic lunch along the way. Proceed to drive through the stunning road marks of nature and countryside. Arriving in the late evening at your hotel or at the airport for your next destination.
