Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Rwanda
On day 1 of the 5 Days Kahuzi Biega and Nyungwe Safari, upon arrival at the Airport, you will be picked up by our safari driver guide representative and transferred to your Hotel in Kigali city. If you arrive early morning, can take an optional tour of Kigali city and the surrounding area. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Bukavu – DR Congo
On the 2nd day of the 5 Days Kahuzi Biega and Nyungwe Safari, after an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver guide from your hotel in Kigali City and set off southwards to Cyangugu border on the way to Bukavu in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda, the King’s Palace in Nyanza, and the Rwanda Genocide Memorial Site. After lunch, embark on a scenic journey to Bukavu with impressive views of the hills in Rwanda through the tropical forest of Nyungwe National Park and a clear view of Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lowland Gorilla tracking safari in Kahuzi Biega – Dr Congo
On the 3rd day of the 5 Days Kahuzi Biega and Nyungwe Safari, Wake up and have an early morning breakfast, after driving for an amazing adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National Park. Tracking lowland Gorillas is very impressive, lowland Gorillas differ from mountain gorillas, the lowland gorillas are bigger in size, and usually takes 1 to 4 hours to track the lowland Gorillas.
The lowland Gorillas stay in bigger families as compared to endangered mountain gorillas; you will not regret the experience once you meet the great lowland gorillas. After, drive back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day4: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park and Canopy Walk
On the 4th day of the 5 Days Kahuzi Biega and Nyungwe Safari, you will have morning breakfast and then connect back to Bukavu crossing into Rwanda via Cyangugu continue a drive to Nyungwe National Park where you will embark on a 2-hour hike along the Canopy walkway’’ an impressive bridge raising 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees.
You will be able to view the beautiful rainforest with a bird’s eye view, and explore wildlife moving about below you there after connecting to your accommodation to spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer back to Kigali
On the 5th day of the 5 Days Kahuzi Biega and Nyungwe Safari, after enjoying breakfast at the lodge, go to the park meeting point for a briefing about Chimpanzee trekking rules. After the briefing, you will be led by a driver guide in forest trails in search of the chimpanzees. The tracking experience can take about 30 minutes and 5 hours. When you find them, spend an hour while taking memorable photographs and videos. You will then return to your hotel to freshen up, enjoy lunch, and then check out of the lodge. Embark on a 5-hour drive back to Kigali City.
