Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport, on the first day of the 5 days Uganda Murchison Falls and Kibale chimpanzee safari, our driver guide will be waiting to pick you up and brief you about the safari. Then, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park, which is located in the northwestern part of Uganda. On the way, you will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking, where after you will continue the journey with another stopover in Masindi for en route lunch. After lunch, you will continue the journey to Murchison Falls National Park and upon arrival you will go for an optional evening game drive where you will be able to view animals such as buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, elephants, giraffes many others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Nile safari lodge-luxury/ Pakuba safari lodge-midrange or Parkside safari lodge-budget.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast, on the second day of the 5 days Murchison falls and Kibale chimpanzee safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge embark for a morning game drive where you will be able to view the early risers. During the game drive you will be able to watch large number of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards, view several bird species among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise, after lunch you will head for an impressive boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will get an opportunity to view large herds of hippos and crocodiles in water, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes along the shores, view aquatic birds like kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters, hornbills among others. After the boat ride you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Have early relaxed breakfast on the third day of the 5 days Murchison falls and Kibale chimpanzee safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive to Kibale National Park. It’s a whole day journey and on the way you will have en-route lunch and enjoy amazing views of the local people, farmlands, traditional homesteads, Rwenzori Mountains, tea plantations with stopovers to take memorable photos and stretch your legs. Upon arrival in Kibale national park you will proceed to the lodge, check in for dinner and overnight stay at Chimpundu lodge-luxury/ Kibale Tourist Safari Lodge -midrange or Isunga lodge-budget.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
After an early breakfast on the fourth day of the 5 days Murchison falls and Kibale chimpanzee safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing about dos and don’ts of the experience. After the briefing, you will be accompanied by the park ranger to lead you through the jungle of primates in search of habituated chimpanzees. The trekking in the forest can take about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on their location because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. On finding them, you will be given an hour to spend with them as you get to learn more about their life style, behaviors, watch them feed, enjoy the juveniles playing up in the trees, take photos and record videos with a flash less camera. After the one-hour encounter with the chimpanzees, trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to head for an interesting nature walk in Bigodi sanctuary. During the guided nature walk you will get a chance to spot animals such as sitatunga, bushbucks, otters, primates like red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, olive baboons, view different bird species like the great blue turaco, view colorful butterflies, relax your mind and enjoy the cool breeze, listen to sweet melodies in the air and in the trees, take beautiful pictures many more. After the Bigodi walk you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 5: Departure to Kampala
After a relaxed breakfast on the last day of the 5 days Murchison falls and Kibale chimpanzee safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your guide to set back to Kampala. On the way you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara town and after lunch, continue the journey with another stopover at the Equator for memorable picture taking and buy souvenirs in craft shops around. From the Equator, you will continue to drive to Kampala. You will arrive early evening, and upon arrival,l your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or dropyou off at any place of your choice.
