6 Days Uganda primates and wildlife safari will take you to 3 prominent destinations which are known for being homes to a variety of fascinating primates and wildlife, you will visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a home to the largest population of mountain gorillas in the world, Queen Elizabeth national park a home of many wildlife species and Kibale forest national park which is also a home to a huge population of Chimpanzees.

Detailed itinerary of the safari
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO BWINDI
On the 1st day of your 6 Days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, After early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari guide at your hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe then embark on your journey to south western Uganda. On your journey you will pass through districts like Wakiso, Mpigi and Masaka where you will enjoy beautiful landscape, you will make a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will take memorial pictures. A second stopover will be made in Mbarara for lunch then proceed to Kanungu district where you encounter the beautiful Kigezi hills as you approach the park, in the park you will check-in your lodges, relax, have dinner and sleep. Your accommodation will depend on the sector you are to trek as it is indicated on your Bwindi forest gorilla trekking permit.

DAY 2: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
You will wake up so early in the morning, have breakfast then drive to the park’s headquarters where you will be briefed by the game ranger about all the needed concerns about mountain gorilla trekking that is rules and regulations. You will hike into the forests with your packed lunch in search for the precious mountain gorillas and when you see them, you will be allowed to have an hour in their presence.
After trekking, return to your lodge, check-out and head to Queen Elizabeth national park which is 5-6 hours’ drive via Ishasha sector – home of the tree climbing lions. Arrive late afternoon and check-in your lodge since you had a morning trekking you will reach Queen Elizabeth national park in the evening, check into your lodges, relax and sleep.

DAY 3: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE
On the 3rd day of your 6 Days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, You will wake up early for morning breakfast and head for an early morning game drive, on the game drive you will see various wildlife such as elephants, rhinos, Uganda kobs, elephants, hyena, leopards and many more. You will return to the lodges for lunch and in the evening you will go for boat cruise on kazinga channel where you will see water animals such as rhinos in the water, crocodiles, and water birds like crested crane. You will also enjoy the magnificent view of the sun setting, you will return to your lodges, have dinner and sleep.
DAY 4: LION EXPERIENCE AND TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
You will wake up early for early morning breakfast and then head to the park for briefing about the necessary rules to be followed during the lion experience, this activity takes one to two hours and you are sure to see the amazing lions. You will return to the park for lunch and in the afternoon you will checkout of your lodges, proceed to Kibale forest national park a journey of 2- 3 hours’ drive. On your way you will enjoy views of Rwenzori mountain peaks and the rugged terrain when you reach the park you will check into your lodges, have dinner and sleep.

DAY 5: CHIMPANZEE HABITUATION EXPERIENCE
On the 5th day of your 6 Days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, You will wake up early for breakfast, start your early morning Chimpanzee habituation experience by gathering at the briefing spot where you are given an insight about the dos and don’ts on the experience. With your packed lunch you will head into the forests of Kibale where you will meet chimpanzee and other primates like colobus monkeys and many more, on this experience you will spend more hours with chimpanzees making it a full day activity. After the experience you will return to your lodges, relax, dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
DAY 6: RETURN TO KAMPALA
After, breakfast, meet your safari guide and set off for Kampala via Mubende district with en-route lunch. Arrive in Kampala and the driver will drop you off at a location you will advise or at the airport for your onward flight back home.
