Detailed safari
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will be picked up to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park located in the western part of Uganda with approximately 540km from Kampala by road. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography and the experiment and another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven lodge for mid-range/Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget option/ Mahogany Springs Lodge for luxury
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking experience – Mbarara town
Have breakfast and transfer to the park offices for briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by the ranger guide. The time taken is usually between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at very close range. You will observe adults feeding and groaning among themselves. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your guide and rangers will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge. Upon return from the gorilla trekking experience, transfer to Mbarara town where you will spend a night. Day 3: Transfer to Jinja – source of River Nile tour
After breakfast, set off early to transfer to Jinja where we find the source of the Nile as your en-route stop overnight on your road trip to Kenya – Masai Mara national reserve. It is a 6-7 hours to reach Jinja with en-route lunch in Kampala. This drive is an interesting one with views of the local people and beautiful landscape. Upon arrival, visit the source of the Nile and Itanda falls before you connect to your hotel to check-in for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Jinja Nile Resort for luxury/Nile Villlage and Spa Hotel for mid-range/Gately on the Nile for budget
Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara via Busia Border
Have breakfast, check-out to embark on your 2-3 hours’ drive to Busia border of Uganda and Kenya. Upon arrival at the border, go through the immigration and cross to Kenya where you will find your Kenya guide waiting to receive you. Embark on your another 6-7 hours’ drive to Masai Mara national reserve with en-route lunch. Arrive in the park late afternoon and check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Zebra Plains Lodge for mid-range/AA Lodges Mara for budget option/Mara Serena Safari lodge for luxury option
Day 5: Full day game drive in Masai Mara
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and grab your packed lunch and meet your safari driver to head to the plains of Masai Mara for a full day adventure in this stunning savanna vegetation of Masai Mara as you watch many animals in large numbers such as lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, zebras and many more. You will enjoy your picnic lunch and proceed for a game drive till the sun goes down. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at lodge as above.

Day 6: Another day game drive in Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will head to the plains of the reserve for the final morning game drive sighting more animals, after the game drive you will head back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will head to the Maasai village/Masai Loita Hills for a cultural experience. On this experience, you will enjoy getting a deeper insight into the Maasai culture by interacting with the local Maasai people, be entertained by local dancers, drama and Maasai warriors; buy local Maasai items such as local Maasai Shukas, beautifully made accessories such as necklaces and earrings and taste local cuisines. After the experience, you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge as above
Day 7: Transfer to Nairobi for departures
