This 7 Days Rwanda Gorilla and Serengeti safari offers exhilarating adventure, combining gorilla trekking in Rwanda with wildlife viewing in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. This trip starts with gorilla trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park – home to a large number of endangered mountain gorillas. Then, followed by a flight to Tanzania for a wildlife safari experience in the Serengeti, including the world’s Great wildebeest Migration even which usually happens from January to December, with peak times varying by location and event. Meanwhile, the migration is a continuous cycle of movement driven by the search for fresh grazing and water.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Arrival to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, transfer to Volcanoes National Park with a rewarding view of beautiful countryside, rolling hills. Arrive at the park, check into the lodge, relax as you get ready for your next day of gorilla trekking. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda
After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver guide to transfer you to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, meet up with the park ranger to accompany you through the forest trails to look for gorilla family your assigned to. Once gorillas are found, you will be given one hour to spend with then as you learn about their amazing behaviors, habit, feed, play among others. The trekking experience can last about 2 to 7 hours, depending on their movement while looking for food. After your incredible encounter with mountain gorillas, walk back to the meeting point to meet your driver guide to connect to your lodge, enjoy lunch, and rest the remaining hours. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Depart to Kigali
After enjoying a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out and then say farewell to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. You will transfer back to Kigali city, potentially including a city tour with visits to the Genocide Memorial and other cultural sites. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 4-7: Tanzania safari – Serengeti National Park
Day4: Fly from Kigali to Tanzania
Enjoy breakfast at leisure, then fly from Kigali to Tanzania’s Arusha Airport of directly to Serengeti. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 5: Full Day Exploration in Serengeti National Park
Have a delicious breakfast, then set out on a full-day game drive in the Serengeti plains with your packed lunch. During your game drive, expect to experience the diverse wildlife and potential viewing of the Big five ‘’lion, elephants, buffalos, leopards and rhinos, among others animal species.

Day 6: Another Day for Game Viewing in Serengeti
Enjoy another day for a game drive in Serengeti, where you will be able to visit different amazing areas in park and also watch a variety of animal species. Visit the Ngorongoro Crater, visiting the Masai, Camping, observing the wildebeest migration, visiting Olduvai Gorge and watching of the big five mammals. Drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

After morning breakfast, depart back to Arusha to be dropped to your advised place of residence.
