Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Nairobi and Transfer to Samburu
Start your trip by pick up at around 7:00am from your hotel in Nairobi or the Airport and then, transfer to Samburu National Reserve. The journey is approximately 6 to 7 hours with spectacular views ranging from the raw countryside, the centra highlands of Kenya, the equator line and views of Mt Kenya.
Arrive in Samburu by lunch time, check into your lodge/camp, enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, embark on the afternoon game drive where you will have a chance to see the ‘’Samburu Special five’’ Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, Beise oryx’ ’Visit the Ewaso Nyiro River for perfect viewing of wild animal’s quench for water for thirsty. Return to the lodge before the sun set down, freshen up, enjoy delectable dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Leave Samburu and Transfer to Lake Nakuru
Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, followed by a drive to Lake Nakuru National Park which is about 5hour drive from Samburu. You will en -route game drive as you exit the park. Lookout for wild animals like the Cheetah, hippo, giraffes, zebra, elephants among others. Have a stopover for panic lunch to Lake Nakuru National Park.
On arrival in Lake Nakuru National Park, check into your lodge, relax a bit and later, head out on afternoon game drive. Game drive will go up to 6:00pm. Then, proceed to your camp/lodge for a freshly prepared dinner. Have overnight stay at your camp/lodge.

Day 3: Depart Nakuru and Drive to Maasai Mara
After an early morning breakfast served at the lodge, check out and starts the journey to Maasai Mara at around 7:30am. You will a short morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park as your exit. Expect to have a chance to look out for the missed wild animals during your precious game drive in the park.
Continue to Maasai Mara National Reserve, a journey which takes between 5-to-6-hour drive. Arrive in Mara shortly, in afternoon and check into your booked camp or lodge, have a yummy lunch. After, drive in Maasai Mara plains for an afternoon game drive. Thereafter, you will head back to the lodge /camp to reach by around 6:00pm, freshen up, dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge, embark on both morning and afternoon game drive, with your packed lunch boxes. Start your game experience at around 9:00am and return back at the lodge late afternoon at around 6:00pm.
The morning game drive -the best time to see the animals and high chances to witness hunt/kill’’. You will be a break to enjoy your packed lunch box. Expect to see diversity of wild animals such as lions, leopard, rhino, buffalos and enjoy spectacular Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra. Annual migration tends to happen between July to Mid-October.
Return at the camp at around 6:00pm, for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Maasai Mara to Nairobi and Fly to Kigali ‘’Own flight booking’’
After a yummy breakfast at the lodge, then drive back to Nairobi. Arriving in evening and be dropped off at the airport in time to check in and board your evening flight to Kigali. Have dinner and overnight stay in Kigali.

Day 6: Pick up from Kigali and Transfer to Nyungwe Park -stopover visit to Nyanza King’s Palace and Butare National Museum.
In the morning: You will be picked up by your driver from your hotel in Kigali and drive southwards to Nyungwe, after your morning breakfast at the hotel. Have a stopover in Butare, to discover the national museum of Rwanda’s history, visit the king’s palace in Nyanza with lunch en-route. Have dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: Chimp Trek and Canopy Walk – Transfer to Lake Kivu
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge, embark on park headquarter for the briefing about chimp trekking dos and don’ts. After briefing, go search for these great apes in Nyungwe forest in accompany of park ranger. Once you find them, you will enjoy watching chimps as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. The trekking takes about 2 to 5 hours, depending on their location.
You will have your packed lunch and then, meet your driver guide to drive you on a guided nature walk along the famous canopy walkway bridge. The canopy walkway bridge rises 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will experience the beautiful canopy forest with a bird’s eye view. The hike takes between 1 and half to 2 hours adventure. Later, drive back to your lodge in Gisenyi Lake Kivu, check in and have dinner.

Day 8: Gorilla Trek and Depart to Kigali
Wake up early enjoy morning breakfast at the lodge, then be transferred to park headquarters for your briefing at 7:00am. You will be briefed about gorilla trekking rules, regulations and expectation. Then, embark into the forest in search for your gorilla family. Gorilla experience in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda can take about 1 to 5hours, depending on their location. On finding the gorilla family, you will be allowed an hour to spend with these gentle gaints.
After a memorable gorilla trekking, drive back at the lodge and enjoy hot lunch before setting off for Kigali where your driver guide will drop you off at your hotel or at airport for your flight departure back home.
