Buhoma Community Haven Lodge is an excellent Mid-range safari lodge that provides a comfortable stay to visitors who visits the park for more than one day on gorilla trekking safaris in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
In general, Bwindi Impenetrable National park is a popular top safari destination to see mountain gorillas because the park hosts half the remaining mountain gorillas in the world and the world remains with a total of about 1065 individuals. More so, the park is home to over 22 habituated gorilla families which are divided into four gorilla sectors ‘’where gorilla trekking in Bwindi is done ’’ Buhoma, Nkuringo, Ruhija, and Rushaga. And we advise our visitors on a visit here to request an agent in charge of their gorilla tour package to book for them lodges in the same region to trek gorillas meaning, trekking in Buhoma at the same time book a lodge in Buhoma region not ‘’ trekking gorillas in Ruhija and sleep in Nkuringo region that looks a zig-zagging itinerary.
Buhoma Community Haven Lodge consists of 8 spaciously designed double–twin cottages and 1 family cottage, all self-contained ‘’en-suite’’ and merging simple elegance with local materials. The lodge offers the most spectacular views of the rainforest from its terraces.
Interestingly, the lodge is located close to the briefing point where the gorilla trekking expedition begins from.
The lodge offers a nice and clean restaurant that serves 4-course meals blending western and African cuisine which is prepared by professional chefs using locally grown products.
