Game Drives in Maasai Mara National Reserve are most popular done activities in the park and in the African national parks and reserves. Game drive is much recommendable to use a 4×4 wheel drive – open roof Kenya safari van or Land Cruiser enjoying the close view of the animals.

Morning Game Drive;

 The morning game drive starts at dawn to catch up with sun risers, observe the African sunrise.   This is the most rewarding hour of the day where you will find all animals very active on fresh food of the day. There are also high chances of seeing cats hunting for food. The afternoon game drive viewing is best done around the river banks where you expect to see lots of animals quench their thirst and cool themselves while the cats go in hidden quite areas to relax and rest thus hard to see again.

Evening Game Drive

The evening game drive usually starts from 4pm till 5pm, best time to get final catch up of the game while they are out of their hides looking for their dinner and other sun bathing like elephants and if lucky can see cats on hunt.

Night Game Drives

The night game drives are best done under the guide of skilled game rangers at extra fees. It is best enjoyed by film makers who want to see more of the nocturnal animals in the park. Best time to see the cats hunting at night and others.
