Lake Chahafi Resort is a spacious Mid-range safari accommodation located in Kisoro near two Uganda’s Gorilla Destination that is; Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. More facts, the lodge sits near Kisoro town conveniently located on the shore of the beautiful Lake Chahafi home to various birds and Uganda’s only Mirror carp fish.

Lake Chahafi Resort consists with nine furnished en-suite cabins with comfy double or twin beds. They have cabins well designed to match the environment – with netted windows that can be rolled up and down as you enjoy your privacy at the same time you sight see the natural surroundings; the cabins were built o stilts and a deck with spectacular views on Muhavura volcano and the Lake. Those on visit can go explore the twin lakes Chahati and Kayumbu. It is also a great base for trekking Mountain gorillas, Golden monkeys or hiking the Virunga ranges like ; Mt Muhavura ,Mt. Lake Chahati Resort takes one hour drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park a home to endangered mountain gorillas, golden monkeys and over 39 species of mammal as well as various 80 bird species. Activities to do within the park includes; Golden monkey tracking, Birding, Gorilla trekking, guided nature walks as well as Community visits among many.
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is one of the Uganda’s smallest parks covering about 33.7 square kilometers inhabits to great mountain gorillas and encompasses three inactive volcanoes namely; Mount Muhabura, Mount Gahinga and Mount Sabyinyo where hiking experience can be done.
The most done tourist attraction in the park includes; Golden monkey – permits cost 100 USD per person per day and Gorilla trekking which is conducted in one habituated gorilla family known as Nyakagezi Gorilla Family- Gorilla trekking permits costs USD700 per person per trek, play part in cultural encounter – visit the Batwa people enjoy their amazing traditions dance, songs, volcano and mountain climbing as well as hiking along the foothill of the Virunga volcanoes.

By road its approximately 8 to 9 hours drives from Kampala via Masaka and Mbarara.
By Air – you can fly by domestic flight Aero link from Entebbe international airport to Kisoro airstrip then 11 kilometers to be transferred to the lodge.
