Things to Do in Sipi Falls : However, Sipi falls lies in different areas of Mount Elgon, it is impossible to view them at the same time but they can be visited in one day. The paths to these falls covers 7km to 8km as you walk and it wakes around 3 hours to visit all the falls. You need to be fit in the body and a walking sticks to give you support since you go through some steep adventure and in case it rains the paths get slippery.
There is different starting point for the hike depends on which waterfall to visit. If you have lesser time you are advised to start with main waterfall and continue with others later. The hiking experience is done by expert local guides who will inform you about the historical and geographical back ground of the area and the hiking experience is amazing.
Abseiling &Rock climbing
This activity is done at the major water fall and is most enjoyed by adventurous travelers.
Equipment to use are rappels which are used as availed and there are skilled guides to guide you through this exciting adventure. Coffee plantation visit
The coffee plantation is located lower slopes of Mount Elgon. The coffee is majorly Arabica coffee and grows within altitudes 1600meter and 1900meter, it is the cash crop to the Bagishu and Sabiny area.

This activity offers a lot to see like the Sabiny and Bagishu who basically stay around sipi. Enjoy their way of life like dress code, traditional dances that is can be organized by the community. If you visit during the time of circumcisions is exciting.

Birding here is commonly done around mountain Elgon National Park harboring over 300 bird species. You can also watch various bird species while seated in the beautiful garden of Sipi River lodge.

How to get there;
From Kampala city to Sipi takes you about 6 to 7 hours about 277kilometers. The drive to Eastern Uganda goes on Jinja road passing via the outskirts of Jinja town. Then go through Mbale town as you head to Kapchorwa the home to the unique sipi falls. Road transport is quite rewarding with beautiful green vegetation and rocks along the slopes of Mountain Elgon.
