Things to do at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern region of Uganda, estimating about 9 to 10 hours’ drive. The park is a home to unique mountain gorillas and about 120 mammals as well as 348 bird species among others. This activity first goes under a process of training gorilla to get used to human eyes and once are notified tourists are allowed to trek the gorilla family. More so, gorilla habituation is a fully day activity which is done researcher, journalists, doctors and park rangers who guides you about activity. Once you locate them, four hours are given to you to watch them as you enjoy amazing life style of these unique creature in their nature habits as well as picture taking.
Gorilla trekking experience
Gorilla trekking is awesome activity that attracts number of tourists on their visit to the park. The activity starts early in the morning with a briefing about dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in the forest. It can take about 30 to 7 hours depending on the location of the mountain gorillas. After briefing, you will be grouped in a group of eight people to each assigned gorilla group. After you will be accompanying with the park ranger guide to lead you through the forest trail heads to look for them. As you will be trekking in the forest, you will be to see other species like various bird species, small primates, forest elephants, buffaloes and beautiful vegetation among others, once you locate them an hour is given to you to observe them as they spend the whole day in their nature inhabitants.
