Detailed Itinerary for 2 Day Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park Safari
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Tarangire National park
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be welcomed by our friendly driver guide who will brief you about the safari and transfer you to Tarangire National Park for your incredible game drive.
The safari begins in Kilimanjaro after a short brief introduction with your guide. You will continue to Tarangire National Park for game drive viewing and a picnic lunch.
The park’s name originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park. Tarangire river is the only source of water for wildlife within the park and during the dry season large number of elephants can be seen around drinking water.
The park is also home to giant baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons among others. After the game drive, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha / Depart to Kilimanjaro Airport
After breakfast, your drive guide will pick you up from your lodge or hotel and then transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing with a picnic lunch. During your game drive, expect to spot animals like elephant, giraffes, zebra, baboons, warthogs, buffaloes and the rarely tree climbing lions. At some point, you can get off your vehicle at the hippo pool to stretch your legs and observe the hippos. You will also have chances to spot various bird species in open savanna. Once you’re done with your remarkable game adventure tour, your driver guide will transfer you to Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight back home that marks the end of the 2 Day Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park Safari
