Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Visit Mabamba Bay Wetland
On day 1 of the 2 Days Uganda Birding Tour, you will be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe with a packed lunch after enjoying breakfast by our safari driver guide. You will start the journey to Mabamba Bay wetland. Upon arrival, you will board a canoe boat with a skilled guide who knows much more about birding. You will board a boat to sail you around the wetland with great chances of viewing a good number of rarely water bird species as well as fishermen who mostly populate the neighboring water body and wetland itself. Shoe bills are the main spotted bird here by the birders.
Note; You will do a full day of birding at Mabamba wetlands.
Other bird species to be spotted include; Purple heron, African jacana, Black Kite, African fish eagle, Pied and malachite, Kingfisher, Yellow-billed duck, White-faced whistling duck, Cattle egret, Long-toed lapwing, Spur-winged lapwing, Papyrus gonolek, Hammerkop, Black-winged stilt, Common and wood sandpiper many more. Birding along Mabamba wetland is perfectly done on safe wooden motorized boats which are used to ride through the waterways to reach different areas of the swamps while looking for the shoebill and other water birds as well as enjoying the beauty of the wetland outlay. Have lunch.
After your birding photography experience, drive back to the hotel in the evening, and rest. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Departure to Entebbe Airport -21:40pm HR
On last day of the 2 Days Uganda Birding Tour, you will wake up and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast served at the hotel, and relax around the hotel. Option of going for Entebbe City Tour/Kampala. Enjoy a delicious lunch and dinner. Relax at the hotel, followed by packing your essentials. Then after, the hotel representative will drop you at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight back home. That marks the End of our Uganda Birding Safari Tour in the Pearl of Africa.
