This 6 Days Uganda Bwindi Gorillas and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari is a short combined safari tour package leading tourists to the home of wildlife viewing and primates viewing ‘’Gorilla trekking’’. During your 6 Days Uganda Bwindi Gorillas and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, you will visit Murchison Falls National Park in the Northwestern and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which lies in the southwestern region and is home to half of the world’s remaining endangered mountain gorillas, among other species.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park,
Depending on your location on the first day of the 6 days Uganda Bwindi gorillas and Murchison falls wildlife safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and thereafter set off to Murchison falls national park. The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours’ drive and on your way you will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will track the endangered rhinos in their natural environment. After the remarkable rhino tracking you will proceed to Masindi town for picnic lunch and after lunch you will continue to drive to Murchison falls national park. Upon arrival, you will drive to the lodge check in have dinner and overnight stay at Paraa safari lodge-luxury/ Pakuba safari lodge-midrange or Parkside safari lodge-budget

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 6 Days Uganda Bwindi Gorillas and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to embark for a morning game drive in the park where you will be rewarded with rewarding views of wild animals such as buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Oribi, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, Jacksons hartebeest, giraffes among others which will be grazing in the open plains, predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, different bird species many more. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Later after lunch, embark for an exciting boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will be able to watch large school of hippos in water, Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs drinking water along the shores, view quatic birds like hornbills, cormorants, kingfishers, fish eagles, bee- eaters among others. Day 3: Transfer to Fort Portal
After breakfast on the third day of the 6 days Bwindi gorillas and Murchison falls wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Fort Portal. On the way you will have en-route lunch and enjoy stunning views of the beautiful scenery, Rwenzori mountain ranges, Lake George, crater lakes, and tea plantations among others. Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast on the fourth day of the 6 days Uganda Bwindi gorillas and Murchison falls wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and then transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is known for hosting half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. On the way you will have en-route lunch in Kabale district and then proceed the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast on the fifth day of the 6 days Uganda Bwindi gorillas and Murchison falls wildlife safari, you will carry packed lunch boxes and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing about the rules and regulations of the activity.
After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest trail head which takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas were last seen the previous day. During trekking, you will be able to view other primates like l’hoest monkeys, chimpanzees, forest birds, different plant species many others. Once the gorillas, are found you will be allowed to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will have an opportunity to watch them carry out their daily activities like playing, feeding, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, watch their behaviors, take photos and record the breathtaking moments. After the gorilla trekking experience, you will drive back to the lodge or go for an optional community tour to interact with the local people. Day 6: Departure to Kampala
After a relaxed breakfast on the last day of the 6 days Uganda Bwindi gorillas and Murchison falls wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to depart back to Kampala. On the way, you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara and then proceed with another stopover at the Equator to enjoy an incredible photo shoot and buy souvenirs at craft shops. From the Equator, you will continue to drive to Kampala. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or at any place of your choice.
