6 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari is a short, remarkable tour package that takes you to Uganda’s most visited and amazing wildlife conservation areas, where you will be exposed to all the big 5 mammals (lions, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, and elephants) and other animals, including warthogs, giraffes and Jackson’s hartebeests. Besides spotting the mammals, you will get a chance to visit the top of the mighty Murchison Falls and also have stops at the equator for memorable photography.
While visiting Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will track chimpanzees at the Kyambura Gorge; if you miss viewing some of the animals during the game drive, expect to see them during the boat cruise at Kazinga Channel.
About Murchison Falls National Park: It is renowned as Uganda’s largest and oldest national park, lying in the northwestern part of Uganda. Well, it is part of the wider Murchison Falls Conservation Area which includes Karuma and Bugungu Wildlife Reserves.
More to that, the park features the famous Murchison Falls. The falls are formed when the Nile River runs through a narrow gorge before dropping in a thunderous roar. Murchison Falls National Park is comprised of woodland, riverine forests and savanna, which are habitats for primates like chimpanzees and colobus monkeys, bird life, giraffes, herds of elephants, hartebeests, leopards, Uganda kobs, Oribis and other antelope species.
A fact about Queen Elizabeth National Park is that it is located in western Uganda, approximately 400 kilometers away from Kampala. The park consists of stunning Kyambura Gorge and the Maramangambo forest.
More so, Queen Elizabeth National Park boasts a beautiful landscape that is dotted with deep craters, crater lakes and salt lakes. The park is home to rare chimpanzees, lions, leopards, crocodiles, buffalos, Uganda kobs, hippopotamuses, elephants and various antelope species. Generally, Queen is famous for its unique tree-climbing lions.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup from Kampala –Entebbe & Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Depending on your point of location, our professional safari driver guide will pick you up early in the morning after your breakfast with delicious snacks and then set off for the journey to Murchison Falls National Park.
The drive takes you through Kampala City and then to the Ugandan countryside as you observe the rural people going on with their daily lives. You will pass through several small towns such as the Luwero and Nakasongola districts. And Luwero is famous for hosting the National Resistance Army “current government” during their guerrilla war with the government forces in the early 1980s.
Well, Nakasongola is known as a cattle-keeping area, where you should expect to see a lot of long-horned Ankole cattle grazing by the roadside. While driving to the northwestern Uganda region, you should ask the driver to stop for you briefly in one of the small markets to check out the local fruits.
You will have first stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track white Rhinos. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary was opened to protect the last remaining rhinos in Uganda after being wiped out by poachers. According to the plan, the breeding programme at the sanctuary will help increase the number of rhinos to a point they re-introduced back into the national parks. Upon arrival, you will be briefed about the trekking rules and after you will be guided by rangers to lead you to their natural environment and seeing them is 90%. After tracking and learn about them, you will hike back to the offices and head out to another stopover.
You will proceed to drive to Murchison Falls National park with lunch en route in Masindi town. First stop will be at the top of the Murchison falls where you will have rewardable view of the river Nile squeezes itself though a narrow gorge before plunging itself into several hard rocks before it continues its way to Egypt through South Sudan. Day 2: Game drive in the morning –Boat cruise on the Nile
On the 2nd day of your 6-day Uganda wildlife safari, wake up early in the morning and have breakfast as you wait for the driver to come and take you for the game drive. The game drive can be done close to the banks of the Nile River—animals to spot include oribis, giraffes, hyenas, lions, elephants, Cape buffaloes, warthogs, jackals, hyenas, leopards and Uganda kobs, among others. An early morning game drive gives you a chance to watch nocturnal animals before they go back to their dens after hunting at night.
Bird watching is more gainful in the morning as they get excited in anticipation of a new day of feeding. After the game drive, you will drive back to your lodge for lunch and refreshments before going for the afternoon boat cruise. The boat cruise goes upstream and ends at the bottom of the Murchison Falls, which is closer to a place named Devils Cauldron.
The boat cruise on the river Nile offers a great view of many of Africa’s famous creatures. While enjoying the boat cruise, you’re able to spot a high concentration of hippos and crocodiles in Africa and other animals to see on the water banks include elephants and Uganda kob waterbucks, as well as water birds, including the elusive shoebill stork, Goliath heron, pelicans, Egyptian geese, kingfishers, cormorants, hornbills, and many more. The trip to Murchison Falls National Park offers breathtaking views of its beautiful nature. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with stop to see the country side
Wake up at your leisure and take breakfast before you embark your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The driving journey is rewarding with country side viewing, green farm land among others. Day 4: Game drive at the Kasenyi Plains –Boat Cruise at the Kazinga Channel
On the 4th day of your 6 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari, After an early breakfast go for the first game drive at the Kasenyi plains where you will see herds of elephants, leopards, lions and various antelope species. Well, Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the top birding site in Uganda that hosts over 600 bird species recorded and 11 of them are kingfishers. After game drive, return back for lunch as you prepare for the boat cruise at the Kazinga channel.
The Kazinga Channel of Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most impressive places to adventure with wildlife in Africa. The channel offers various marine animals that connect Lake George to Lake Edward and is a perfect home area to many of the park animals. Birders, this is a perfect place to spot bird life and birds to see, including marabou storks, crowned cranes, fish eagles and the bronze-tailed starling, among others.
Note Kazinga Channel boasts a high population of hippos in Africa. On a boat cruise you will be able to spot hippos and crocodiles in the water. Water birds and animals like elephants, buffaloes and other predators can be seen bathing or quenching their thirst. Dinner and Overnight stay

Day5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early have breakfast and then after head out to Kyambura Gorge. Kyambura Gorge is one of the most exciting features in the park. Chimpanzee tracking starts in the morning with a briefing about the rules of chimpanzee tracking.
After you meet the park ranger to lead you into forest trails in search of chimps, the activity can take about 2 to 5 hours depending on their movements. Once you find them, an hour is given to you to spend with them to learn how they behave, feed, and hunt as well as to take pictures and capture videos. Other primates to see while tracking include vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys and baboons, among others. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Tree-Climbing Lions of Ishasha – Back to Kampala or Entebbe
On this day of your 6-day Uganda wildlife safari, guests will tell you that you will be exhausted with the amazing activity. You will wake up at your own leisure time, enjoy breakfast and prepare for the journey back to Kampala / Entebbe.
You will pass through the Ishasha sector, a home to spot unique tree-climbing lions, on your way to Kampala. You will use a different route that takes you to different districts, including Mbarara. You will have spectacular sightseeing of beautiful scenery and physical features in western Uganda, especially Kasese.
You will have to stop at the equator in Kayabwe to take memorable photos. Have lunch and visit the craft shop to buy some souvenir things to take back home.
You will proceed a drive to Kampala to be dropped to your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your flight departure back to home country.
