Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Upon your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport on the first day of the 7 Days Best of Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari, our driver guide will be waiting to welcome you in the Pearl of Africa, and also brief you about the safari as you transfer to Murchison falls national park. The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours’ drive and on the way you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking and then continue the journey to Masindi town for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival in the park, you will drive directly to the top of the falls where you will enjoy beautiful views of the waterfall and photography taking. From the top of the falls, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Pakuba safari lodge-midrange or Parkside safari lodge-budget

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 7 Days Best of Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to embark on a morning game drive where you will be rewarded with marvelous views of animals such as buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Oribi, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes among others which will be grazing in the open plains, predators like hyenas, lions, leopards, different bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will head for an exciting boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will be able to watch a large population of hippos in water, Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, view other animals such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs drinking water along the shores, view water birds among others. After the boat ride which takes about 2 to 3 hours, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast on the third day of the 7 Days Best of Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kibale National Park. On the way, you will have en-route lunch, stopovers to take memorable pictures, stretch your legs, and enjoy rewarding views of the beautiful scenery, Rwenzori mountain ranges, Lake George, crater lakes, tea plantations many more. Upon arrival in Kibale National Park you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Tourist Safari lodge-midrange or Isunga lodge-budget

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
After an early breakfast on the fourth day of the 7 days Best of Uganda primates and Wildlife safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, go meet the park ranger guide to lead you through forest trailheads in search of the habituated chimpanzee family. During the trekking, you will be able to view other small primate species such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, grey checked baboons, view different bird species, and tree species among others. On finding them, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to watch their behaviors, and habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, hunt, play, fight, mate, rest, take photos and record the moments to show people back home after the safari holiday. After an hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide and then return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon swamp walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will enjoy impressive views of different bird species such as the great blue turaco, hornbills, and weavers, view primate species like blue monkeys, grey cheeked Mangabey, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, view different plant species, colorful butterflies if you are lucky you will be able to also adventure mammals like bush pigs, bushbucks, mongoose many more. After the swamp walk you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast on the fifth day of the 7 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable national park with en-route lunch on the way. After lunch, you will proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs Lodge -midrange or Buhoma community rest camp-budget

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early breakfast on the sixth day of the 7 Days Best of Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari, you will carry a packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the jungle which takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where were last seen the previous day. During gorilla trekking, you will be able to view other primate species like l’hoest monkeys, and chimpanzees, a variety of forest birds, different plant species many more. Once the mountain gorillas are located you will be allowed to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you a great opportunity to observe them carry out their daily activities like feeding, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, playing, observing their behaviors, habits, take photos and record the breathtaking moments among others.
After an hour’s encounter with the gorillas, you will either return back to the lodge for an evening relaxation or opt to go for a cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the Batwa, learn about their culture, way of living, enjoy their traditional performances many others. After the cultural tour, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 7: Departure to Kampala
After a relaxed breakfast on the last day of the 7 days Best of Uganda primates and wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to depart back to Kampala. While on the way you will have en-route lunch and a stopover at the Equator to take photos and buy souvenirs to take to your loved ones. Therefore, proceed to Kampala, and upon arrival in the evening, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of your choice.
