Kikorongo Safari Lodge is a beautiful luxury safari lodge which was built to provide luxury safari services in the wilderness of Queen National Park. More fact, the lodge is a family run which was set up by the Thembo family on the steep escarpment of Kikorongo in April of 2018 and is surrounded by the vast wild greenery of the land. While on a visit expect to enjoy a hiking experience up to rooms with itself well-maintained walkways and wild trees.
More then, the lodge is located about 38 kilometers east of Mpondwe, a town that lies at the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the southern part of Uganda.
The lodge consists of 8 comfortable cottages, and 15 premium luxury tents which are nested and beautifully crafted within the landscape, each gives a unique view of Lake Kikorongo, Lake George as well as the vast landscape of Queen Elizabeth National Park – thus offering a spectacular view of the world-famous Kazinga Channel. Each cottage allows for privacy and guests to unwind in their own intimate piece of paradise.
The Kikorongo Safari Lodge has got three accommodation options;
Tented luxury cottages; The cottages are fitted with a cozy four poster bed and a perfect en-suite bathroom as well as a large private deck with stunning views.
Edge luxury intimate cottages; These cottages are located at the edge of the premises; the rooms are self-contained and reward with a full view of both Lake Kikorongo and Lake George.

What stuns most, the lodge sits directly on the Equator and located on one of the steep hills in Kasese beautifully overlooking both lake George and Lake Edward which is surrounded by Rwenzori Mountains, Rwenzori National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and the impressive Kazinga Channel.
Generally, Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second largest game park after Murchison Falls National Park, located in western region Uganda near in districts of Kasese, Rubirizi, Kamwengye and Rukungiro and Rukungiri. The park covers a total area of 1,987 square kilometer, which is inhabit to diversity of wildlife species of around 95 mammal and over 600 species of birds- hoven for birders. More so, the park is approximately 5 to 6 hours drives and about 1 hour by flight – fly with a domestic flight -Aero link Uganda from Entebbe International Airport to Mweya or Kasese Airstrip.
While on stay at lodge – you can go for unique experience such as Game drive, enjoying the vast views of the park, boat safari, Cultural visit, Hiking to Kororo falls, Canoe racing with the local fishermen, Hiking to Thembo falls, Nature walks, Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge.
