Mburo Eagle’s Nest in Lake Mburo National Park is a budget friendly Uganda safari accommodation, located on a high hill bordering the park. This tented camp offers spectacular views of the beautiful nature around since are designed with overlooking veranda. There bathrooms are real bush life experiences; Showers are filled upon your request and the toilet is new eco-friendly.

 They do prepare a woodfire and use the big African potjies.

Mburo Eagle’s Nest consists of 10 African safari tents with verandas overlooking the park’s treasures. Each rooms is furnished with twin beds while seated  on your veranda where you  can enjoy rewarding view on the Lake Mburo National Park and you can be  lucky to spot zebras grazing  in the park.

Apart from the main accommodation, Eagle’s Nest consists non-self-contained tents. The tents are comfortably furnished with 2 single beds, a bedside table and a power outlet for charging your electrical equipment.

And all tents are placed under a grass thatched roof which provides you private terrace and offers some welcome shade. More so, tents share a communal ablution block with showers and flushing toilets. Rooms are featured with clean linen on all beds.

There staff is very friendly and offers perfect services.

All tents have hot showers and the beds are designed with mosquitoes.

They have got perfect restaurant serves delicious foods to their clients, located in the middle of the camp which allows you to listen to the sweet sounds of the birds in the morning hours and sounds of bush like roaring lions, chirping cricket and grunting bush pigs.

The lodge consists of different range of tents which includes; Safari tent single, Safari tent double, Extra Bed, Tent single and Tent double among others.

Game drives – Lake Mburo National Park

Game drives in Lake Mburo can be done in three sessions; morning, afternoon and night game drive. During the game drive you can get exposed to various animal species such as Zebras, Oribi, Bushbucks, reedbucks, bush duikers and numerous bird species to see includes Kingfishers, herons, black bellied bustard many more.

The night game drive exposes you to nocturnal animals like genetic cats, bush pigs, leopards, white tailed mongoose, grazers like hippos and crocodiles many more.

Boat Cruise – Lake Mburo National Park

Boat cruise is the second done activity in the park and can be arranged in two sessions; morning starts around 9:am and afternoon starts at 2pm. Along your boat cruise you will be able to view water species like hippos, crocodiles and other mammals can be see on the water banks while quenching for thirsty such as buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs and aquatic bird species like Kingfisher, heron, pelicans, Cormorants, African fish eagle, elusive shoebill stork, African finfoot many more.

Birding

The park is home over 350 bird species including; endemic, migratory birds, water birds, savannah birds thus becoming one of the birders paradises. Some of birds to see includes; Saddle billed stork, Grey crowned cranes, long tailed cisticola, White headed barbet, African finfoot, Ross’s turaco, Papyrus gonolek, Red faced barbet, rare shoebill stork, saddle billed stork, African wattled lapwing, Blue headed coucal, Blue breasted kingfisher among others.

Horseback riding activity in Lake Mburo National Park gives a great chance to interact with different animals on horse like Zebras, bushbucks, waterbucks, elands, impalas’ duikers, elands, Topi, warthogs many more.

Sport fishing in Lake Mburo

Sport fishing in Lake Mburo National Park is best done on the Lake Mburo of the five lakes. You can not do sport fishing in the park minus a fishing permit from Uganda Wildlife Authority. We recommend to carry your own fishing equipment.  There are six species of fish to be caught such as Lunch fish, Mud fish, Cat fish, Tiger fish and the most common fish is Tilapia fish.
