10 Days Countryside Tour
This 10 days countryside tour is an extraordinary safari that starts from Entebbe Uganda and ends in Kigali, Rwanda. The tour will take you to the most visited national parks in Uganda, including Murchison falls national park, Kibale forest national park, Queen Elizabeth national park and Bwindi impenetrable national park.
During the safari, you will be able to spend time with the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees and spot the big five animals and other animals during the game drives and boat cruise.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport on the first day of the safari, you will be welcomed by our representative, who will brief you about the safari and then transfer you to the hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary
After an early breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Murchison falls national park. On the way, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and then proceed with another stopover in Masindi for an en-route lunch. After lunch you will continue to Murchison falls park and upon arrival, you will drive directly to the top of the falls, where you will enjoy views of the waterfall, listen to the roars, and take pictures, among other things. From the top of the falls, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On the third day of the 10 Days Countryside Tour, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge after an early breakfast to go for a morning game drive in the park, where you will be rewarded with views of buffaloes, elephants, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, lions, leopards, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes, oribi, and warthogs, among others.
After the game ride, return to the lodge for lunch, after which you will go for an amazing boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, where you will be able to view hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, view elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes along the shores, and spot aquatic bird species, among others. Later drive back to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Kibale forest national park also known as the primate capital. The journey takes about 6 to 7 hours’ drive and on the way you will enjoy views of the landscape, crater lakes, and tea plantations and also have stopovers for en-route lunch and to stretch your legs or take pictures. Upon arrival in Kibale Forest National Park, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
On the fifth day of the safari, you will have an early breakfast and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu Visitor’s Center park headquarters for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest in search of the chimpanzees, which takes about 2 to 5 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located. During chimpanzee trekking you will be able to view other primates and once the chimpanzees are found, you will be able to spend one hour with them, which helps you to learn more about their behaviors, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, rest, and hunt, and take photos and record videos.
After chimpanzee trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch, whereafter you will go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi swamp, spot different bird species and primates, and visit the local communities, among other things. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have breakfast at leisure, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park which is the second largest national park in Uganda. The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours’ drive and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will relax at the lodge and later go for an afternoon game drive in the park, where you will be able to view different animals like elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, and leopards, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast on the seventh day of the safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive in Kasenyi plains where you will look out for animals like lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, and warthogs, among others.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch, whereafter you will go for an amazing boat cruise on Kazinga channel, a water body that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. During the boat cruise, which takes about 2 to 3 hours, you will be able to view large concentrations of hippos, view Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, and see aquatic bird species, among others. Later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the eighth day of the safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. On the way, you will have a stopover in the Ishasha sector, where you will be able to view the tree-climbing lions lying in acacia tree branches and other animals like buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs, among others. After the game drive in the Ishasha sector, you will have lunch en route and then proceed to Bwindi national park and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking experience

After an early breakfast, you will carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to go for a gorilla trekking briefing at the park headquarters. After the briefing, you will be allocated a habituated gorilla family to trek and an experienced park guide who is conversant with gorilla trekking trails in the forest. Trekking to mountain gorillas in Bwindi national park takes about 2 to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.
During trekking you will be able to view other primate species and once the gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their habitat, which gives you a chance to learn about their behaviors and habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos and record videos. After the encounter with the gentle giants, you will drive back to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 10: Departure to Kigali
On the last day of the safari, you will have breakfast at leisure, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Kigali. You will have lunch en route, and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Kigali international airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of advice.
