This 14 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya Safari is a famously done safari tour package by tourists who are interested in game viewing, primates as well as cultural encounters. They are all done in three neighboring countries that are Uganda which is referred to as the Pearl of Africa, Rwanda referred to as the land of Thousand Hills as well and Kenya a renowned destination for game drive viewing and annual migration events which occur from July to mid-October. Kenya is referred to as the ‘’heart of Africa’’.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park-canopy walk
On day 1 of the 14 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya Safari, in the morning, you will be picked up by the driver from your hotel in Kigali and transferred southwards to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda, and the king’s palace in Nyanza with lunch en route.
After lunch, proceed the journey to the park, and upon arrival, you will go for a guided nature walk along the thrilling canopy walkway bridge- a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be amazed by the beautiful rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below. Thereafter connect to your booked lodge to spend the evening at leisure. This hike takes only 2 hours. Later meet up with your guide and return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Nyungwe Top Hill View Hotel (Luxury) Gisakura Visitors Centre-budget

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trek and transfer to Lake Kivu
On day 2 of the 14 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya Safari, wake up have your breakfast and then go for a briefing about Chimp rules and regulations. Then after, enter into the forest to search for the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The experience is amazing as watch them jumping from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking usually takes about 3 hours. You will later return back to base where you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Lake Kivu with impressive views on the way. Upon arrival, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Kivu Hotel for mid-range or Paradise Marahide for budget

Day 3: Boat cruise on Lake Kivu and transfer to Volcanoes national park-cultural tour
On day 3 of the 14 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya Safari, after a delicious breakfast, you will go for an impressive boat cruise on Lake Kivu where you will be able to enjoy gainful views of the lake, scenery, landscape, bird species many more. After the boat cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch where after you will check out and set off to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, you will go to an amazing Ibyi’wacu cultural village to have an experience of Banyarwanda culture and tradition, relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Da Vinci gorilla lodge-midrange or Amikus hotel-budget.

Day 4: Golden Monkey trekking
After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and later enter the forest in search of these active golden monkeys. Tracking the golden monkey is an exciting experience for other primates to view such as the black and white Colobus monkeys, Olive baboons among others. After trekking, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver guide to start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park passing via Cyanika border or Katuna border. On the way, you will have an en-route lunch and enjoy stunning views of the beautiful scenery, landscape, tea plantation, and the Rwenzori Mountains among others. Upon arrival in Bwindi National Park, you will continue to check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Bakiga lodge-midrange or Broadbill forest lodge-budget
Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast on the sixth day of the safari, you will carry a packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts to follow during trekking. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the jungle which takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the movements of gorillas in their natural habitat. During trekking, you will be able to view other primate species, various forest birds, different plant species many more. Once the mountain gorillas are located you will be allowed to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you a chance to watch them, and carry out their daily activities such as feeding, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, playing, observing their behaviors, habits, take photos and record the breathtaking moments.
After the one-hour encounter with the gentle giants, you will walk back to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and then meet up with your driver guide to return to the lodge for relaxation. Or opt to go for a cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the Batwa people and learn about their amazing traditional way among others. After the cultural tour, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast on the seventh day of the safari, you will check out of the lodge and your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover in the Ishasha sector for a clear view of the tree climbing lions which will be lying up in acacia/ fig tree branches and the view is rewarding. After the game drive you will have en-route lunch and then continue a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive and check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at stay at Pumba Safari cottages-budget/ Elephant hab lodge-midrange.

Day 8: Morning game drive/optional lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise
On this day, you will have an early breakfast and your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for an adventurous game drive in Kasenyi plains – home to a wide range of wild animals. During the game drive you will be able to view animals such as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, warthogs, predators like lions, and leopards, a variety of bird species, and others. After the game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an interesting boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel a water channel that joins Lake George and Lake Edward. During the afternoon boat cruise, expect to enjoy stunning views of the beautiful scenery, and landscape, view animals like elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, and waterbucks at a close range drinking water along the banks, view large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, aquatic bird species many more. After the boat cruise which takes about 2 hours, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 9: Transfer back to Kampala – city tour
On the 9th day of your 14 Days Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya Safari. Wake up early and enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge and then embark on your journey to transfer to Kampala with a stop at Equator for an impressive photo shoot. Upon arrival visit the Gadaffi mosque, Bahai temple and other places that can be visited depending on available time before you connect to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay at Best Western Hotel for mid-range/ Cycad guest house for budget

Day 10: Fly to Maasai Mara National Reserve – evening game drive
You will have a tasty breakfast, then connect to Entebbe Airport for your onward flight to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Aero-link Uganda operates daily flights from Entebbe to Masai Mara. Flight to Maasai Mara depart Entebbe airport at 12:15 and arrives in Maasai Mara at 14:30 hours. Upon arrival at one of the allocated airstrips in Masai Mara, you will be met by your Kenya safari guide to drive you to your reserved lodge for late lunch.
Later, you will connect for an evening game drive which is the best time to spot predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs as they try to hunt in the dark times of the night with the help of a spotlight. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, check in and stay overnight at transfer to your reserved lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Sekenani camp-midrange/ Sentrim Mara for budget

Day 11: Full-day game drive in Maasai Mara
On the 11th day of your 14 Days Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya Safari, wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, carry your packed lunch, and meet your safari driver to head to the plains of Mara for a full day game adventure where you expect to watch in this beautiful savannah vegetation to large numbers such as lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, zebras and many more. You will enjoy your picnic lunch and head for a game drive till the sun goes down. In the evening, you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at lodge as above.

Day 12: Another day – Full day in Masai Mara – community tour
After breakfast, you will head to the plains of the reserve for the final morning game drive adventure. After the game drive you will head back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will head to the Maasai village/Masai Loita Hills for a cultural experience. On this experience you will enjoy getting a deeper insight into the Maasai culture be entertained by local dancers, drama, and Maasai warriors; buy local Maasai items such as local Maasai Shukas, beautifully made accessories like necklaces and earrings, and taste local cuisines. After the experience, you will head back to your lodge, have dinner, and stay overnight at the lodge as above.

Day 13: Transfer to Nairobi – City tour
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge followed by checkout of your lodge and then drive to the Nairobi city tour which is a 4-5 hours’ drive via Narok area where you will visit the Masai market and buy some of beautiful souvenirs. Continue to Nairobi with en-route lunch explore Nairobi city on a city tour visiting the Elephant orphanage and the Karen Blixen museum. Dinner and overnight stay in Best Western Hotel – Mid-range/ Lamaison for budget.

Day 14: Departure
After breakfast and depending on your departure flight schedule, check out of the hotel in time for your check-in departure flight. That marks the end of the safari.
