Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Transfer to Hotel
- Arrival at Entebbe: On this day 1 of your 16 Days Uganda Safari Adventure Tour, our company driver guide will pick you up upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. He will brief you about the safari, and thereafter be transferred to the hotel where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.
- Transfer to Hotel: Depending on your flight time arrival, you may have a Kampala city tour where you will get an opportunity to learn of the country’s culture and history. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
- Transfer to Murchison: On this second day of your 16 Days Adventure Tour safari, you will wake up to a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and thereafter proceed to check out for a transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. En-route, you will make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a white rhino tracking experience. This rhino tracking experience is the opening to your sighting of big5 in Uganda. After rhino tracking, you will have lunch at a selected restaurant in the sanctuary. Thereafter, you will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda with loads of mammals and the strongest waterfalls in the world. Day 3: Game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, Boat safari
- Game drive in Murchison: This third day of your 16 Days Uganda Safari Adventure Tour has you having an early breakfast at the lodge and thereafter proceed for a 6am ferry crossing that will have you getting to the Nile River bank from where you will enjoy a game drive that will reward you with various mammals like elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes and a chance of sighting the big5 while hunting, among so many others. Various species of birds can also be spotted.
- Boat safari: After lunch, you will have a – hour boat safari to the base of the falls. This boat safari is a great opportunity to see serried ranges of hippos busking in the Nile waters, Nile crocodile, and a number of waterbirds say the very elusive shoebill stork. At the shores, spot a number of animals taking an afternoon drink to quench their thirst say elephants, buffaloes and a variety of antelopes. After, the boat safari, transfer back to the lodge and enjoy yet another game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
- Transfer to Kibale: Today, enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge and then check out and proceed for a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. This drive will be via Lake Albert and the escarpment area that will reward you with a beautiful view of the Great Rift valley. You will make a lunch stopover in Hoima and then proceed on your transfer to Kibale National Park through Kagadi town with local communities of grass thatched houses and little children playing around or returning from school. You will pass some really vast and beautiful tea plantations. Once in the park, check in at the lodge and relax as you await dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking, Bigodi wetland eco-walk
- Chimpanzee Tracking: After an early breakfast at the lodge, head out to the Kanyanchu visitor centre for a briefing on the activity at hand and thereafter proceed for a chimpanzee tracking in Kibale experience. Expect to see habituated chimpanzees and a number of other 12 primate species like the mangabey and monkeys. Kibale Forest National Park is a birder’s haven that has a variety of bird species that it was designated an Important Birding Area in Uganda. Be on the lookout for these beautiful birds during the chimpanzee trekking adventure. Lunch will be in the forest.
- Bigodi wetland eco-walk: After, you will have an afternoon Bigodi wetland eco-walk that has you appreciating the local community within, the birds and a number of primates. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Semuliki National Park, afternoon Game Drive
- Transfer to Semuliki: After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will check out of the lodge and depart Kibale Forest National Park for a transfer to Semuliki National Park which is just 2.5 hours away. Once in the park, check in at the lodge and take time to relax as you await lunch.
- afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive in Semuliki National park for an opportunity to spot loads of antelopes, buffaloes, warthogs and much more. Return to the lodge for dinner an overnight stay.
Day 7: Nature walk, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, evening game drive
- Nature walk: After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, head out for a morning nature walk for an opportunity to view primates like vervet monkeys, baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, among others. Birds can also be spotted.
- transfer to Queen: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and be rewarded with views of the Rwenzori mountains. Lunch will be enjoyed en-route.
- evening game drive: Once in the park, check-in at the lodge and then proceed for an evening game drive. Day 8: Morning game drive, Boat safari on Kazinga Channel
- Morning game drive: On this 8th day of your 16 Days Uganda Safari Adventure Tour, you will have an early cup of tea/coffee and then head out for a morning game drive for an opportunity to sight some of the big5 as they return from their night hunt, as well as birds that sing not so far away. After, return to the lodge for a mouth-watering breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure.
- Boat safari: After lunch, head out for an afternoon boat safari on Kazinga channel. Kazinga channel links Lake Edward to Lake George and has a number of water birds and water animals like hippos and crocodiles. Different animals can be seen at the shores taking an afternoon thirst quench. This boat safari takes about 2 hours. Return to the lodge thereafter and get to enjoy a game drive spotting more animals. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 9: Lake Katwe salt mining area, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- Lake Katwe salt: After breakfast at the lodge, head out to Lake Katwe salt mining area for a salt mining experience. After, proceed to visit Lake Munyanyang for a chance to see flamingos.
- transfer to Bwindi: After, you will proceed to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector famous for the tree-climbing lions. Make a stopover for lunch at a selected restaurant and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site that inhabits more than half the total gorilla population. Once in the park, check-in and relax as you await dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi experience
- Gorilla trekking: This 10th day of your 16 Days Uganda Safari Adventure Tour has you waking up to a sumptuous breakfast. Clad with your packed lunch, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and a gorilla group allocation. You will then proceed to search the gorillas. This gorilla trekking in Bwindi experience has you encountering the gorillas close range and spending one hour with them. Lunch will be enjoyed in the jungle. After spending your allocated time with the gorillas, trek back to the starting point from where you will receive your gorilla trekking certificate. Day 11: Batwa pygmies visit, Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, Night game drive
- Batwa pygmies visit, Transfer to Lake Mburo: After breakfast, go for a Batwa pygmies visit that will have you learning of the ancient dwellers of the forest that were hunters and gatherers who solely depended on the forest for everything. They co-existed with the animals in the forest until when they got evicted. On a Batwa cultural experience, you will get to learn how they did different activities say collecting wild honey, hunting, making fire from sticks, their different foods and fruits, medicines and so much more. After, proceed to transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with a lunch en-route. Once in the park, proceed to your lodge of stay, check-in and relax.
- Night game drive: Later, you will go for a night game drive of Lake Mburo National Park savannah Plaines. You will sight a number of nocturnal park animals like the Aardvark, porcupine, side-stripped jackal, spotted hyena, civet, jenet cat, among so many others.

Day 12: Early morning boat safari on Lake Mburo, Transfer to Kampala
- Early morning boat safari on Lake Mburo: After breakfast, enjoy a morning boat safari on Lake Mburo and get to see a number of birds and animals. This boat safari takes two hours only. After, depart the park for a transfer to Kampala. You will make a lunch stopover en-route, and another at the Equator in Kayabwe where you have an opportunity to stand in two different hemispheres of the world, and a photography moment.
- Transfer to Kampala: You will proceed to Kampala arriving in the evening. Check in at the hotel, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13: Transfer to Jinja, en-route activities and River Nile activities
- Transfer to Jinja, en-route activities and River Nile activities: This 13th day of your 16 Days Adventure Tour has you transferring to Jinja after enjoying your breakfast at the hotel. You will enjoy a number of en-route activities like visiting Sezibwa falls and learn of their cultural background, Mabira forest where you will have an opportunity to enjoy a 2-hour nature walk and bird watching activity. You will proceed to Jinja and get to enjoy lunch at the shores of River Nile., and then get to visit the source of River Nile. At the end of it all, you will have your dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14: Transfer to Mbale, Sipi falls walk
- Transfer to Mbale, Sipi falls walk: After breakfast, you will transfer to Mbale from where you will have lunch at a selected restaurant and then proceed to Sipi for a Sipi falls walk. Get to see a number of coffee plantations and communities with the locals carrying on with their activities. After, return to your lodge of stay for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 15: Hike the 3 waterfalls of Sipi
- Hike the 3 waterfalls of Sipi: Today, you will get to hike the 3 waterfalls of Sipi after enjoying a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge. Whilst on this 3 waterfalls hike, you will have an opportunity to view the Karamojong plains on a very clear day. Lunch will be had along the hike. After, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 16: Departure
- Departure: Today is your last day of your 16 Days Uganda Safari Adventure Tour. You will wake up to a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge and then proceed for departure to Entebbe International Airport where you will catch your outbound flight.
