3 days Kidepo national park safari: Kidepo national park is one of the finest tourist destinations in Africa offering extra-ordinary wildlife experiences which are to leave you fascinated and intoxicated, kidepo national park is situated in northeastern region of Uganda. Kidepo National Park is situated 571km a 10 hours’ drive from Kampala the capital city of Uganda via Kampala – Karuma – Gulu – Kitgum – Kidepo route.
A 3 days safari to kidepo national park is a short amazing trip which requires a tourist to fly to the park from either Entebbe international airport or kajjansi airfield. Chartered flights are offered daily by Aerolink, Eagle Aviation and the flight takes 2 hours from Entebbe to kidepo national park. Aerolink offers flights only on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday departing at 12:30 hours arriving Kidepo at 14:45 hours.

Day 1: fly to Kidepo and afternoon Game Drive
You will fly from either from Entebbe international airport or kajjansi airfield on a scheduled domestic flight offered by Aerolink, a flight take 2 hours and by 02:45 pm or 3:00 pm you will be in the park. You will go for lunch as you prepare for an afternoon game drive. On the game drive taking through the breathtaking landscapes of Narus valley you will encounter animals like cape buffaloes, African elephants, jackals, lions and many more. After the game drive you will go back to your lodges have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Game Drive and Karamojong Community tour
You will wake up early in the morning for early morning breakfast and drive to the park for an early morning game drive through the stunning landscape of kidepo filled with savannah grassland offering views of Lomej hills, Lotukei Mountains and Morungole Mountain. The game drive takes 2 to 3 hours where you get to encounter a large number of animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, Buffaloes, Side stripped Jackals, the Burchell’s Zebra, the Eland, the Cheetah found here only in Uganda, Guenther’s dik-dik found here only in East Africa, striped hyena, aardwolf, caracal, the lesser and greater Kudu, klipspringer, dik-dik, Bright’s gazelle, Chandler’s mountain reedbuck, beisa oryx, African wild dogs, waterbuck Jackson’s hartebeest and black-backed jackal, Ostriches and many more. After the game drive you will have lunch and in the afternoon you go will go for a Karamojong community tour, on the community tour you will into the communities of the local Karamojong people in Karenna and Kapedo and witness activities like local dances, songs, small grass thatched manyattas and many more. Then you will go to your lodges, have dinner and sleep.
Day 3: Early morning game drive and visiting hot springs
You will wake up early for morning breakfast and then head for a morning game drive, on the game drive you will get a chance to encounter animals you did not see before like buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, elephants. You will en route to kidepo valley and visit the hot springs, from the game drive you will get to the airstrip and fly back to Kampala. You will have lunch in Entebbe or Kampala and you will be dropped off marking the end of the safari.
