The 5 days gorillas and wildlife safari from Kigali is an interesting tour that starts from Kigali Rwanda and ends in Entebbe Uganda. The safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south western Uganda where you will be able to spend time with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the first day of the safari, our driver guide will either pick you up from Kigali international airport or your hotel in Kigali, brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours’ drive passing via Katuna border in Kabale or Cyanika border in Kisoro.
You will have en-route lunch on the way and enjoy views of the rolling hills, beautiful landscape, terraced farmlands among others. Upon arrival in Bwindi national park, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi National Park
After an early breakfast on the second day of the safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge with your lunch box to transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocate a habituated gorilla family to trek and an experienced park guide and park rangers.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park takes about 2 to 6 hours depending on where the mountain gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. During trekking you will be able to view other wildlife species and once the gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them which gives you an opportunity to learn about their habits, behaviors, watch them feed, play, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos and record videos.
After the encounter with the gentle giants, you will either return to the lodge for relaxation or go for an interesting Batwa cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the Batwa people who used to live in the forest, learn about their culture, way of living, listen to their stories, enjoy their traditional performance among others. After the cultural tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On the third day of the safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way you will have en-route lunch and a stopover in Ishasha sector where you will be able to spot the tree climbing lions which will be lying in acacia/fig tree branches. Later proceed to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth national park and upon arrival, you will check into your lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Morning game drive/lion tracking experience and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel
After an early breakfast on the fourth day of the safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive/ lion tracking experience where you will be able to spot animals like elephants, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, predators like lions, leopards, hyenas among others.

After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch where after you will go for an interesting boat cruise on Kazinga channel a water channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George.
During the boat cruise, you will be able to view large concentrations of hippos in water, view Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes along the shores and water birds like cormorants, king fishers, bee-eaters among others. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala
On the last day of the safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Kampala with en-route lunch on the way and a stopover at the Equator where you will buy souvenirs and take photos.
Upon arrival in Kampala, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport or drop off at any place of advise depending on your schedule which brings you to the end of the 5 days gorillas and wildlife safari from Kigali
