Our 4 Days Murchison Falls Wildlife Safaris leads you to Uganda’s highlight safari destination –Murchison Falls National Park home to a variety of wildlife species and birds. It is located in the northwestern Uganda region, approximately 4 to 5 hours from Kampala Uganda’s capital city. During your visit here, you can engage in bucket activities such as a Game drive, boat cruise, nature walk, chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest, birding, and visiting the top of the falls among others.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe
On day 1 of the 4 Days Murchison Falls Wildlife Safaris, depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer you to your reserved hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight stay at Cycad Guest House-Budget, Best Western Hotel – Mid-range.
Day 2: Rhino trekking – Murchison Falls National Park – top of the falls
You will be picked up early morning after your breakfast and connect to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking. The drive takes 4 to 5 hours to access the park from Kampala. After tracking, proceed a drive to Murchison Falls National Park. You will enter through the Kichumbanyobo gate and –thereafter continue to the top of the falls before you check into your lodge. Have dinner and overnight stay at Parkside Safari Lodge-Budget, Pakuba Safari Lodge – Mid-range
Day 3: Game drive and launch cruise – Murchison Falls
You will wake up early and go for a game drive after morning breakfast. During your game drive, you will be able to spot a wide population of animals including predators, herds of elephants, giraffes, Uganda kobs, Jackson beasts, and warthogs among others. After, you will return back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
Later on, you will go for a lunch cruise along the Victoria Nile where you will be able to cruise near a school of hippos, watch crocodiles along the sandbanks, large herds of elephants and other different species can be seen around. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 4: Nile Delta boat cruise and evening game drive
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for an impressive Nile delta boat cruise which begins from the Parra jetty landing site and stretches to the shores of Lake Albert.
During the Nile Delta boat cruise experience, you will be able to enjoy a rewarding view of Murchison Falls, and large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in the water, other animals to see include Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks many more to see along the shores, water birds, view fishermen who will be catching fish on Lake Albert and others. After the Nile Delta boat cruise, you will meet up with your driver guide and drive you out of the park. Transfer you back to Kampala. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at your hotel or at the Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight. End of the safari.
