Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Transfer to Lake Mutanda

  • Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Lake Mutanda: On your 1st day of your 7 Days Best of Uganda adventure from Kigali, you will be picked up by our company driver-guide upon your arrival in Kigali International Airport. He will brief you about your safari tour and thereafter transfer you to Lake Mutanda in Uganda. Depending on your time of arrival, you might choose to have a city tour of Kigali, the cleanliest capital city in the continent of Africa. The drive to Lake Mutanda is richly rewarding with beautiful sceneries along the way. Lake Mutanda itself is a beautiful place from where many choose to have their honeymoons. Once there, you will be transferred to your accommodation. Be sure to enjoy the beauty of the lake while at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. 

Day 2: Canoe Ride on Lake Mutanda, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

  • Canoe Ride: Your day 2 of your 7 Days Uganda from Kigali safari has you waking up to the beautiful Lake Mutanda. The beauty of this place cannot be put in words; you will enjoy your breakfast at the lodge leisurely. After, you will head out for a canoe ride on Lake Mutanda. The canoe ride is a great way to explore the lake and its surroundings, as well as relaxing as it is very quiet here. The canoe ride on Lake Mutanda’s experience can take about 2 hours. 
  • Transfer to Bwindi: After, you will have lunch leisurely and thereafter proceed on a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Once you arrive, check in to the lodge, relax as await dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi 

  • Gorilla trekking in Bwindi: Today, you will go for gorilla trekking in Bwindi, an experience that many have taken part in and found very thrilling and fulfilling. You will wake up very early in the morning, have a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge and thereafter proceed to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking by the park officials. You will also be given rules and regulations to follow while gorilla trekking, and then placed in a group of 8 and allocated a gorilla family that you will trek. You will proceed, in the company of game rangers, to trek the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is endowed with a variety of plant life, wild animals like forest elephants, various bird species and so much more that you should keep an eye out for. You will find the gorillas going about their day-to-day life of grooming each other, feeding, making nests, playing mostly by the juveniles, and napping. Once you encounter the gorillas, you’ll spend one hour with them and you can take pictures and videos of the gorillas as you enjoy the encounter with these near-human creatures. You’ll leave the gorillas after the allocated time elapses, and trek back to the park headquarters making a lunch stop where you will have your packed lunch in the jungle, then proceed to the starting point from where you will receive your gorilla certificate. Your driver-guide will be ready to drive you to the lodge where you will spend the rest of the afternoon resting as you regain your energy. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Batwa cultural experience, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

  • Batwa cultural experience: On the fourth day of your 7 Days Best of Uganda adventure from Kigali, you will have an early breakfast at the lodge and thereafter proceed for a Batwa cultural experience. The Batwa are a group of people who were ancient inhabitants of the forest and co-existed with them. Taking part in a Batwa cultural experience will have you learning of their way of life say how to collect wild honey, fruit gathering, hunting, among so many other skills. 
  • Transfer to Queen: After, you will return to the lodge, have lunch and then proceed for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will get to the park via the Ishasha sector of the park where you will sight the tree climbing lions as they roam around or dangle their tails while on the trees. Enjoy the game drive as you drive to your lodge of stay from where you will have your dinner and an overnight stay.  

Day 5: Morning game drive, afternoon Launch cruise

  • Morning game drive: This fifth day of your 7 Days Uganda from Kigali safari has you having an early morning cup of coffee or tea. Thereafter, you will go out for a morning game drive in the park where you will be able to catch the early rising wildlife as they head out for a hunt. While on the game drive, you will sight animals like African elephants, warthogs, oribis, kobs, topis, buffaloes, bushbucks, among the 1000 or more mammals. After, you will return to the lodge and have a mid-morning breakfast. The launch cruise is a great way to see a number of water animals like hippos, Nile crocodiles, among others, and a number of bird species. Elephants, buffaloes, kobs, and a number of birds are some of the wildlife that you will see having an afternoon drink as the scotches on. After the launch cruise, return to the lodge and get to enjoy a game drive as you get there. Relax at the lodge as you await dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and bird watching

  • Chimpanzee tracking: After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, head out for a chimpanzee tracking experience in Kyambura Gorge. Kyambura Gorge is home to a number of habituated chimpanzees that tourists can visit. Other primates that include the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, mongoose, among so many others are some of the animals that you should also expect to see while chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge. Various bird species can also be seen.

  • bird watching: you can take time bird watching while on the chimpanzee trek. The trek can take up to 3 hours or more, you will have your packed lunch in the gorge. Day 7: Community walk, Transfer to Entebbe
